I, too, wondered if all this was getting a little extreme the other day when i picked up 10p in the station car park - only to find when I looked at it properly later that it was in fact a New Zealand 50c coin!! I'd picked it up based on seeing the Queen's head of course, and it was the same size as our 10p. I was somewhat disappointed but had to laugh:rotfl:Every penny's a prisoner

Picked up 1cent at the Mr T checkout yesterday and then another one! And then spotted €5 euro note on the ground by the next checkout across for me! No way I could get across to get it but there was a young girl practically stood on top of it and I nudged her and pointed down and said "I think it's your lucky day!" She whipped it up in a flash and gave me a big beaming smile. So it was nearly as good as getting it myself!0

Good Morning
3998 pennies deposited in my bank account this morning for a refund I'd totally forgotten about and didn't have on my budget spreadsheetStrange how it takes them 30 seconds to take it out of your account and 3 weeks to put it back in

Wow that is a find!!
I haven't found anything for aaaaaages.
Although the other day my bronze penny prisoner became too full to fit any more inmates, so I emptied it and bagged it and then used the contents to pay for some of my postage on my ebay parcels
It is very handy that the post office let you pay in bags of pennies0 -
I saw someone find a £20 note today on the floor. She asked if anyone had dropped it but noone replied. It has motivated me to keep my eyes open for finds!0

Found £1.01 today - best find for ages.
Have you seen martin's blog post about teenagers deliberately dropping money? Unbelievable and I think it says a lot about financial education and learning the value of things and also saving up- a penny or two might not get you what you want but keep saving them literally or virtually by getting reductions/offers etc and you soon make progress.
Meanwhile - if they keep dropping it we'll keep picking it up:rotfl:Every penny's a prisoner
