Can you chop the top cm off the stick MG and still have some left to use ?
I could - but there truly is only a little left and it is, well YUCK!!!
However I do have coconut oil, vaseline, evening primrose oil and an old lipstick - so give me ten minutes and I will have the quickie method up on the blog

Ewww hairy lipsalve...shudder
Glad the boys liked their bits n pieces. I am sure that DS1 will be able to buy some pretty decent books with his vouchers.
You have given me an enormous boost and gave me the necessary kick up the backside when I was skint and feeling sorry for myself. I am still skint but no longer feeling sorry for myself:D Now I am planning how to turn a cooked chicken leg, cooked chicken wing, some herbs and some onion into a stew - before I would have eaten the chicken cold.:D
I came home from mum's yesterday with half a pot of Boots No,7 moisturiser and she had bought me some expensive primer to use ontop of my moisturiser and underneath my foundation. I must start taking care of my skin more - in fact I have just reminded myself I still have an expensive clarins facial left that I bought as part of a package back in 2010 that I have yet to use:cool:
Hope the working wardrobe fund is coming along well?0 -
Lipsalve is a success - yipee!!!
Toddler just piped up "Mum, you make the best risotto ever!!!"
Now my question is - he is three!!! What other "restaurants" has he been eating risotto in then??????
He is now eating risotto and wearing a rather fetching coral lip-salve.
I'm a BAD Mother LOL

He focussed on keeping his "bell-jar" on to repel negativity
I have a bell-jar too, but put it over the negative person instead of me (I'm a bit claustrophobic). When I need it, if I concentrate it appears out of a cupboard in the office, lifted by Thunderbirds 2, complete with music :T. Usually Thunderbirds 2 is very accurate at dropping the bell-jar over the negative person, but occasionally it clonks them on the way down, which amuses me no end
.
Glad it's gone so well for DS1 :TA positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Oh there's so many posts I want to agree with or comment on, but I lost track!!
MG - you must be so very proud of your son. I hope today is a good boost for him. It's amazing what a little bit of confidence can do. And 'wow' to the new work link and ideas. Bring on the mortgage hey?!! :T
Lara - just a big hug :A
Aesop - you & I have a similar battle this month. Let's hope we can pull it off with lots of effort and a little luck
How did the chicken turn out, Horace?
Well, I've had a day off with the youngest. When he napped I was able to clear a good chunk of ironing which is part of my decluttering challenge. I've also been in touch with an EA re selling my old house. The ex is still there, but if I want it sold, I will have to manage it. Because of the situation he's put himself in, the house is going to cost me money I haven't got. Any spare energy will be put into visualising the sale of the house with the added bonus of me not ending up in negative equity. Tough times ahead, but once that's gone I can breathe again.
I am now off to bed. You have reminded me, Dora, that I had intended to have early nights and early mornings. I function better in the morning anyway, but especially if I can get some time pre children waking up!One step at a time0 -
All this morning's woooo has now worn off and has been replaced with yawn instead - need to get off my bahookie to finish some paperwork tonight and then plan to carry on with it in the morning.
Managed dancing for an hour tonight which was pretty comical with a frozen shoulder, looked like a lopsided lobster most of the time and the freeze seems to have travelled to my feet as well as they were dancing in their own special way - at least we had a laugh:oMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Horace you brought a little tear to my eye. Group hug! :grouphug:
Thanks for the hugs and well wishes Igamogam and Hopeful. It's really appreciated
Hopeful I hope that you get the house sorted and sold. It sounds like a tough one. I hope your ex will get on board with the project and get it ready for sale for a great price.
MG - thinking about your lovely DSs. So happy to hear DS1 has had a much better day at school. Confidence is so important there.
Dora - :rotfl:
I had some good news too today - I got the go-ahead to apply for an internship next year.:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -

Glad to hear there is good news too Lara after your earlier post.
