Result! Sort of. I got an email today saying that there will possibly be a phone interview in couple of weeks time and to let them know about my travel plans in a possibility that there is a face to face interview later in March. So the word possible was there twice but they did take the time to ask about my travel plans. I have everything crossed.

Greenbee, might be traveling with you in the end :D

    Great news :D

Am fed up. Still coughing, although not as much. No voice, painful throat and tummy ache. Not sure whether it's from too much sugar in all the jelly an ice cream, the shock of onion soup and cabbage yesterday and cabbage today, or because there's not really enough in there... Need to get some work done but am considering an early night.

Also need to shift the contents of my bedroom out of it by this time next week so that the floors can be done. I guess I'd better start making space in the other rooms :o

Marru - that sounds positive. Fingers crossed!!

Greenbee - it may be a good idea to lay off the cabbage :D Could you face anything like scrambled eggs? I think the next few days will be the time to put into practice the 15 minute chunk technique to tackle that floor!

Well what a difference a day makes! Ex has well and truly dropped me in it financially. It's not something I can resolve quickly, so moneywise I have taken at least 10 steps back. I cannot express how I feel without rude words  Sorry for moaning I just need somewhere to unload. I really hope I'm still posting here in 12 months time and will be celebrating how much progress I've made. Today I feel so angry and disappointed. Why i've had to wait for another proverbial kick, to make me put into action the things I should have done a long time ago, I really don't know :o

I really, really wish my son hadn't chosen chocolate as our 'thing' to give up for Lent!! Coffee will have to fill the gap with some left over birthday cake. And breathe....

So sorry to hear :( how about having some dark chocolate purely for medicinal purposes? ;)

Now there's a thought......no I couldn't. I would feel too guilty! The things religion and children can do to you ;)

Hopeful - you should have been more specific and said you were giving up all the kinds of chocolate children like, not the good stuff ;)

I think I will keep off the cabbage :o I went shopping today so have more jelly, ice cream, fizzy water and some soup, rice pudding and creme caramel. I know I could make this stuff myself, but I'd just cough into it... I really can't face eggs. Haven't been able to for a while now. Maybe if I get someone else to make them I might be OK with them...

Just going to have a quick look at some work, and then make a hot water bottle (for my tummy) and head off to bed in the hope that I can stop coughing long enough to fall asleep! I'm exhausted....

I shall remember that tip next year ;)

You've certainly stepped things up on the food choice! :D I really hope you sleep well when you finally hit the sack and wake up relatively sweat free ;)

Morning Matrixettes - Happy First of the month.

SO WHAT ONE THING IF YOU DID IT FOR THE NEXT 30 DAYS WOULD CREATE HUGE CHANGE IN YOUR LIFE??

You don't need to share - but write it down and commit yourself to following through on this one step.

Every day you achieve this thing let us know and award yourself a Gold Star - and just like the NSD challenges lets see how many we can award ourselves this month.

So think - what is your one thing? Don't think too hard - it will be the thing that pops into your head first.

    And we are off

Happy First of March! In BUlgaria people celebrate Baba Marta - or the begining of Spring though the reports this year are that there is no such thing and all is still frozen.

I want to answer MG's question: what will transform my life is that in the next 30 days I get up and focus on my 'day job' writing rather than other kinds of writing; or worse checking my stats all the time. So, this is what I am going to do - and have to do if I want to get through this big shot workshop marking the end of my big shot project at the end of the month.

    Hi

Just wanted to de-lurk to say to Greenbee have you tried Ivy Thyme for your cough, my Daughter has asthma and every time she gets a cold she has a terrible cough for weeks.

Someone at a herbalist about 7 years ago suggested she try it (it is only available from herbalist or on-line I think) it was magic.

Last year my Dad had the worst cough he has ever had in his life (he is 70) and I suggested it to him as he had been through 3 lots of antibiotics and at least 5 different cough mixtures. He was amazed by the results, he said he had coughed up all sorts of things (TMI) including a shopping trolly! LOL

Anyway it certainly does the trick in our family, I think it costs about £9 but it does last ages because you only use a few drops in water.

    Hope you feel better soon.!
