I vote school with heavy emphasis to the head on how their pupils are representing the school with their behaviour. I assume the were in school uniform?

Definitely the school - I remember when I was at school and being late because I had been pushing cars up an icy hill, someone phoned the school to say thanks..mind you, people used to phone the school if we were seen in the street and we were eating:eek:

Eyes are blurry today - I hate these new glasses, I can no longer use the computer properly as everything is clurred so please excuse any spelling mistakes and typos - I am seeing double:(

Just about to tinker with my CV - I happened to mention to the lady at Mitre this morning (she helps folks with mental illness find work) that I would love to work at the local nursery tending plants - so she produced something about the council looking for a florist/glasshouse operative - temporary from March to Seotember. Basically it is someone to grow the bedding plants and plant them out in the parks etc. I rang the agency just nowwho are advertising it and they have said that although the council are looking for someone qualified (I am not a florist nor do I have an NVQ in horticulture), I am to send them my CV with a covering letter. I do have experience both with my mum's three quarter acre garden and 12 months working in a garden centre (I now hate passionfruit plants after single handedly twisting them around hoops - all 3000 of the things) and also spent time looking after the school greenhouse..plus years of having my own garden.

Must also send off my divorce papers - just need to tick one or two boxes and voila done.

Well Head, frankly could give a stuff - so neither can I. (So glad DS1 doesn't attend that school). Told her she can tell the lads that their ball is at the Police Station and dropped it off there. The Community Bobby just giggled when I told him. Manager of L**l has texted to say he has saved the video onto the computer in case I need it (he is a mate BTW otherwise that would indeed be exceptional customer service from a supermarket LOL)

Horace - you need to go back to the Opticians, my mate would be gutted if he thought one of his clients was having such a bad reaction to new specs. Even if he can adjust them to make them more comfortable.

Today is my first day of wearing the things so I will see how I get on and maybe ring tomorrow.

I am convinced that they have changed the prescription for the left eye - he did say that the girl found it difficult to test that eye as I have no central vision - all she needed to do was look at the notes and open her ears because I did say that I had had a cateract op and that my eye was left at -7 - I certainly don't see how a plastic lense can deform:mad:

In other news I have lots of paint charts from B&Q - why is the paint colour that I like always the most expensive? I know that Magnolia is cheap but I am fed up of it. I also priced up some gardening equipment and have decided to ask a gardener friend about mowers because he is bound to be able to get me a manual cylinder mower at trade price (I want one powered by humans and not by electricity or petrol).

And does this sorting out involve things that you are dealing with in real life, and result in you having made decisions by the time you wake up?

Nope as far as I can tell their sole purpose is to advise on clothes and interior decor - still makes me wake up with such a grin dh always knows which dream I've had.

Busy day and pointless meeting after work for 2 hours - I hate meetings that are for no reason, already decided and set up to 'give everyone chance to air their views' and then ignore them - another one I shall chalk down to my professional development as in I will try to avoid calling pointless meetings when I am a headteacher. Been headhunted to go and give advice to another school waiting for Ofsod and had a nice chat to head who was very pleased I can go and help, is always worth being nice to people cos you never know who talks to who.

Well what a difference a day makes! Ex has well and truly dropped me in it financially. It's not something I can resolve quickly, so moneywise I have taken at least 10 steps back. I cannot express how I feel without rude words  Sorry for moaning I just need somewhere to unload. I really hope I'm still posting here in 12 months time and will be celebrating how much progress I've made. Today I feel so angry and disappointed. Why i've had to wait for another proverbial kick, to make me put into action the things I should have done a long time ago, I really don't know :o

I really, really wish my son hadn't chosen chocolate as our 'thing' to give up for Lent!! Coffee will have to fill the gap with some left over birthday cake. And breathe....
One step at a time ;)

Result! Sort of. I got an email today saying that there will possibly be a phone interview in couple of weeks time and to let them know about my travel plans in a possibility that there is a face to face interview later in March. So the word possible was there twice but they did take the time to ask about my travel plans. I have everything crossed.

Greenbee, might be traveling with you in the end :D
