Feeling a bit sad this weekend, as my Gran is not very well
Groatie - will you have anything left after your de-clutter?
Lara, (((hugs)))
Please let us know how your Gran is doing. Sending positive vibes to you both.
Your comment about having anything left made me smile (sort of!). Many people on the planet live their lives much less encumbered by goods and chattels. Food for thought!
Thing is, if you've a garden and you've got a hedge and grass, then you need a lawn mower and hedge trimmers; and also other garden tools for digging, raking, cutting, collecting debris etc.. I have doubles of some things - when Mum died some of her garden tools migrated to here.
In the (tiny) new garden there will be no grass and no hedge. Flower beds or containers will be at waist height and will only need hand tools. It will cost a bit initially to set up, but as I'm in my late fifties I am thinking into the future for gardening I can manage (and enjoy) at any age. And which uses a lot less equipment! :rotfl:If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

blah blah blahy kind of day - all relaxed but dd getting stroppy with her tiredness so best avoided in her pre-teen mood.
Lounge decluttered and cleaned, dw out and in, wm likewise, ensuite cleaned, off to sort out grown up bedroom again - why is it always our room that ends up the dumping ground?
Worked out schoolwork schedule for week and into bitesize frogs that can be achieved. Have also pledged to have utility cleared by Easter (you guessed it 15 mins at a time) and booking in spa-like treat to congratulate self once done as I need mega-motivation.
Tempted to go for a quick walk/run in new coat and gloves tonight as doing race for life in summer with work and I refuse to be the last one to finish! Might see how cold it is before I decide though.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Hi Gemmzie, I too have lots of frogs today so do you want to set up a mini challenge to see how many we can get done.
I have at least 10 to do, but I'll aim for 7.
Got my timer and away I go.
Anyone one else feel free to join in.
Sounds good. So far I've:
* Meal planned for the week
* Done the food shop for £40 (needed quite a few householdy things)
* Made soup for my lunches:money:
* Made OH a banoffee pie for Valentine's :rotfl:
* Tidied & hoovered kitchen
* Updated banking
* Paid credit card
Still need to do today:
* List on Ebay
This week:
* Email housing company (loooooooooong story!)
* Speak to solicitor because I don't understand the form he's sent me to get some money
* Phone opticians as they haven't sent the reciept they promised as that's worth £90!
* Return some items in town
* Tax car
* Fill in OU finance forms for May course

Chewing down on my largest frog, about 3/4's of the way through it but got a lot of gristle to chow down on. Once done, I'm going to feel fab. :j
Well done Gemmzie, you sound like you're on a roll, keep going girl.:T
All other frog munchers, well done also, :dance: keep going.
I have written 5 seperate mind maps for different areas I need to concentrate on.
Got a lot going on at the mo hence not posting so much but lurking a lot.
Today though is frog consuming day and I will return when this last bit is done.

Well done Gemmzie and Triker. I have done very little as I feel grim. The coughing is getting to me. The floor is done (skirting and sanding will be done tomorrow) so I can put the heating on, have a bath and go to bed
I have got a bit of work done, but not as much as I'd hoped which is stressing me a bit as I need to shift this paper soon. It should be relatively simple, and the two I have following it won't be. Need to get my act together...
Good news is that I have my occasional cleaner coming on Tuesday which will help deal with the dust, but i will need to tidy before she gets here so I can clean!0 -

Hope you don't have indigestion Triker!
I have hoovered most of the house to get rid of the worst of the sawdust, and opened a couple of windows as it stinks of wood filler upstairs. Pasta, broccoli and garlic for supper.
Need to think about Valentine's day and also pancake day - I have half a dozen or so people coming over for the latter, so will need to soend next weekend preparing.
Bath time now I think, then hot water bottles and bed in the hope that the cold will go away before morning!0
