afternoon all
didnt have a good start to the day but have managed to turn it around. have eaten a fair bit today and done lots of writing.
ds seems much better today. he wanted to go in the garden on his motorbike but there was a pheasant looking in though that patio door  it saw us and took off down the end of the garden and found something to feast (what do they eat?!) i immediately thought of bitsy and the killer cat :rotfl:
anyway i wasnt sure if pheasants are friendly things or not so took ds to the park on his motorbike. while we were over there 3 boys were playing football, prob about 15ish. ds casually walks up to them and tells them they are his friends :rotfl: the boys were really sweet and let him kick their ball.
a dog came and grabbed their ball though. the owner made no attempt to call it back or put it on a lead. the poor boy managed to get his ball but the dog did nothing but jump at him trying to get it off him  not really the dogs fault but the owners should take control of them esp when there are kids about.
anyway os.... erm.... washed my bedding and baked a cake. thats about itstill better than what i have been 1doing

lou well done hun you are coming along in baby steps but getting there hopefully
Youngest DD Tessa came round and put my dekkies up for me, and I recipricated and went and got the boys from across the road from school She had got the tree up and lit, and the bits around the sitting room and the boys were so chuffed to see all the decorations. We have always put them up early for the past 44 years as my late OH had them up for me when I came home from Hospital after having my eldest Michelle. He had picked me up (1967)from the hospital and on the way home said that it was cold in the flat and he hadn't remembered to get any coal in and there was a pile of washing up he hadn't done .So I wasn't looking forward to getting home with a new born baby and when I walked in the door he had decorated the room with tinsle and a tree and on the mirror had drawn a big Christmas bell and written Welcome home Mum and baby Michelle in soap. There was also a big fire burning in the grate so it was so welcoming
From then on I always have had my dekkies up early .Its my DDs birthday on Friday so I have just texted her to say 'their up and shining as usual' which I know makes her day and reminds her of her Dad. He was such a softie when it came to Christmas and loved it like a great big kid .
My DGS Danny is away for a few days in Glasgow filming 'Pointless' and then he is moving on to Newcastle to film there as well.I hope he's warm enough as its colder in the north and he hasn't got his Granny to tell him to wrap up.I know he's 21 but I still worry about him.I'm sure he will be full of tales about it when he gets home.
Today I have been busy peeling and blanching 2 kilos of carrots for the freezer and I also made 3 litres of Leek and Tattie soup which will keep me warm over the next week, also used up some potato's that needed using up
well time to go and dig out some dinner.I think I shall have some fish as there is lots in the freezer
have a great evening everyone whatever you are doing

Lou what sort of cake did you bake?:o I'm getting boed with doing the same old, same old for Mr LW's lunch box, and need inspiration. It has to be easy to do, though.:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Awww JACKIEO that's a lovely story, you were so lucky to have such a lovely hubby. Why don't they make them like that anymore?:(:(Your Michelle is just a couple of months younger than me then:D:D
OH is bringing a chippy tea home, and so he bloody should:mad::mad:;):D
I've also had a battle with EDF today, as they have taken two payments out, and reckon one of them is an installment plan!!!I didn't agree to it, so God knows what's going on!!:("You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"
