Just received my SS present and I love it! So thank you to whoever it was :)

    IN
    Leighton Denny Miracle Drops :)

    OUT
Lush Imperialis Trial Size: WIBA? No. Didn't buy this one either, but didn't get on with it. No idea why I kept it for so long!

Ladies who love Philosophy, pay attention! I hadn't heard of them until this thread btw :p MrB has an offer online of 1000pts wyb 3 or more selected Philosophy products. However in the Bluewater store they have a very small Philosophy stand, and the Christmas gifts had signs by them stating they were 342. Now not a bad deal. So I picked up 3 of the mini shower gels (in the cute cardboard packaging) at £7 each, total obviously then £14. However, the points offer kicked in too though it wasn't marked in store anywhere!! SO all three in MrB's logic for the princely sum of £4!! Only one is mine btw :p

    IN
    Philosophy mini shower gel

I love Philosophy shower gels and those mini bottles this year have been gorgeous. I took part in the Buy 3 Premium Beauty items and get 1000 points myself but bought from Benefit. Managed to get my double points as well.

When I first read about you opening your SS early I was thinking how impatient you were and was patting myself on the back for placing mine under the tree. But then remembered I'll be taking part in the office SS on Tuesday and everyone (including me will open them then!) so can't really say anything. Glad you're pleased with your gift. Mine feels like three things! OK I may not have opened it but I've had a good feel and shake!!!

I hope that you and your husband can get through the disappointment and have a lovely Christmas break together. Maybe you should arrange some glam nights out, which you probably couldn't do if your stepdaughter was staying.

I think this is a great idea too. Got any local pantomimes you could see? I love pantos - bring out the big kid in me.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Hope the move goes well LadyM and a swift recovery for your gran :)

I just popped in to say that my SS that I sent smugly last week thinking how organised I was has been delivered today - back to me....

dont know how much more obvious I could have made the TO side (includiing it having the stamps!!!) but evidently the large TO wasnt enough (coupled with the huge FROM on the other side!!!)

so I will be sending again shortly - I'lltake it back to the sorting office on my way to get my make-up done in a minute. AAARGH !!!!!

So the sales have started and finally boots have the S&G gift as OOTW, how many of us are gonna cave in?
Hopefully not me, gonna keep telling myself that i dont need it.
Must stay strong, just 6 more days until the OOTW is over, yipee

I have some great news to share with you all. I have found a new permanent job and start work in the new Year. This week will be my last temping for my local Council. So looking forward to the Christmas break now.

The reason I have quoted re: S&G above is that I have not bought one. Can't afford it really however I caught one of my colleagues looking at it at work the other day and got pouty when she saw me looking (she bought me S&G for SS last year) so I am secretly hoping that I'll get this as a leaving gift. Not that they have to give me a leaving gift but it was weird how she was acting.

Also meant to say that Russell Howard was hilarious live when we saw him last Thursday.

Valm I'm hanging my head in shame, but super excited about using it still :o And the shower gels for £4 I just couldn't resist!!

Trudij I went to the Post Office yest and their system was down, so some stamps were old fashioned lick and stick, so he damped them on the sponge thing but they still looked loose, I hope they don't fall off :( Ahh the joys of sending mail!!

Valm, congratulations to your new job. Well done.

LadyMorticia, hope the move goes well.

This will probably be my last post before Christmas since I am going away for just over a week on Monday. I have started to pack today and have already planned what toiletries I am taking with me, most of them will be sample sizes so I should have a few UU's when I am back again. I am already looking forward to next year's thread. I enjoy reading your reviews on products. Being part of this challenge stops me from buying and it has also helped me to realise how long products actually last.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas

No toiletries challenge, started 18/1/2010 - Putting £1 in my savings jar for every item that I use up. Pot 1 to 4 = £261. Pot 5=£23
    Boots points:£39.21. Extra money in 2012:£674.59. In 2013 £603.48. 2014: £85. 2015: £0 :j
  • Hi all,
    Another UU :j
Loreal elvive colour protect conditioner 400ml WIBA? I like this. This was one of the freebies from my friend, got about 5 conditions from it, didn't realise there was so little left when she gave me it, so now I have a 1/3 of a bottle of the matching shampoo left.

Cutting open my face scrub tonight, as its spluttering away.

    Have a good evening all.

resisted the S&G as I would only use about half of the things which seems pointless:j

    nevertheless, 1 IN:o:

    Toiletry spend £34.95 In: 10 out:13
  • I haven't posted here in months! Since about August I think. And TBH I've had hardly any INs since then. The only things I've bought have been hair dye, dry shampoo, shower gel and a small amount of make-up - all of which were needed. I even went on hols and didn't buy anything in duty free!

I have had a few free/gifted INs from freebies or gifts from friends, but again these were stuff I'll use so will go in my stash.

I started this challenge in Jan and I love now having a streamlined stash, I've discovered new things that I love thanks to the FB swapsies group, and I've saved a fortune!

Good luck to all those still doing the challenge
