I'll need lots of help and advice. I'm terrible for getting bored when I'm in the house and going out and spending money.:eek:

Glad boiler sorted Beanie, too cold to be without heating!

Have you and I been split at birth? I am also an ex smoker & now I'm trying to get rid of the excess weight! LOL!:rotfl:
I gave up smoking 4 years ago - I was a dedicated heavy smoker (@40 a day:o) It's something I never thought I'd be able to do, and I still am very proud of myself for kicking it! Go on BDINI - YOU CAN DO IT! We're cheering you on! :T

    Good morning everyone!

Well, it's blizzard conditions this morning!
Just waiting for it to go off so I can walk the dog, but I must say he doesnt look very enthusiastic ATM!

I was supposed to be going to the Christmas market today but I think I will just stay put, do my wrapping and write some cards!( Been putting the cards off as I loathe that job!)

No white stuff here yet but I'm sure its on its way :( Bitterly cold though :(

I managed to finish my Christmas shopping yesterday so it was a massive spendy day for me.
Got another one today when I go to tackle Mr T and dig out all the offers.

Going to spend the rest of the day wrapping and writing and then I can forget about Christmas until it happens :)
I'm a little bit chuffed with myself that I've managed to get it all finished with one more pay day still to go and not one single penny on any kind of cc or catalogue (so different from other years) :T

Now I am hoping to reach my nsd target with ease (famous last words) :)

    Stay warm x x

Awww thanks beanie, the encouragement really helps (along with the yummy pizza!!)
I agree that treats help when you're quitting. I used to be a 20 a day smoker, and for the first six week I transferred the cost of a pack into another account just to see how much money I had been wasting and why I had always been skint! At the end of that month I spotted a lovely coat in M&S and was able just to buy it because I had savings for the first time in a long time. I quit smoking just before I had my LBM and without it I wouldn't have been able to get debt-free (as you'll see from my signature I'm not anymore though, haha!!)

Well done on quitting and good luck :D

You're in Edinburgh too, aren't you? I was quite surprised when I woke up to now as I didn't think it was due till tomorrow. Bit of a bummer as my plan for today was to get all my food shopping in :( Will have to get a day ticket for the bus, saddle up and get on with it as I have never driven in snow before and don't really want to start now :D

Yesterday was NSD#6 for me too :j My friend paid for the Dine in for £10 (although I'm remembering this morning what a mild hangover feels like as I don't drink very often :o) and although I bought a giftcard yesterday, I'm going to count it when it's spent.

Good morning from a cold and very hungover Red:o

The office Christmas party was last night and I enjoyed the wine a bit too much:mad:
I hope everyone is well, getting into the festive spirit and has a good weekend. Yesterday was a spend day for me, but hopefully today will be an NSD, although it's very early yet.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

    £2 savings jar £300:D
Total credit card debts £1250:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: - Will I ever learn!!
  • Few flakes of the white stuff here too (although it seems to have stopped atm). Hope it holds off ......

Really need to pop to a nearby town to get a couple of bits that DMs asked me to get for her (she's even more rural than me) and could really do with visiting the £shop, Farm*Foods and L*dl while I'm there - but it's around 20 miles away :(.

Also hoping to visit DM tomorrow (will be the 1st time I've driven that far since my surgery) .... think I'll have to wait until the morning and see what it's like.

Will hold off a while and see what happens - unless it gets really bad, it will be a spendy day here.

Beanie thank goodness your boiler's fixed! Brrrrrr

No chance of my first nsd day today, unless my better half decides in a fit of generosity to pay for the groceries and fuel my car. I think that tomorrow has real potential though...
Have a lovely day everyone, I'm off to visit a friend, kids party, shopping and fuel.
Then hopefully a quiet evening in front of the telly finally writing my Christmas cards.
