Should I pay nursery fee for strike day when nursery is closed?

Hi, Just wanted to check opinion and if anyone knows an actual answer to this.
My daughter is at a Childrens Centre nursery on Wednesday mornings but the CC is closed tomorrow (30/11/11) due to strike action. I was wondering if i should still pay for this session. I understand that i have to pay when nursery is closed due to bank holidays, etc as the staff still need paying but the staff don't need paying on the strike day.
Any thoughts or info would be appreciated.
Regards

I wouldn't pay, but I would also look at the contract. If it does not specifically say that you must pay when staff are on strike and the nursery is closed, then if you are asked to pay, just say, 'Oh, can you tell me where in the contract it says I have to pay in these circumstances please?' - with a polite smile on your face, of course.0

Have you asked the nursery what their stance is?
Remember that insurance premiums, heating, electricity, water, rates, rent etc will all need to be paid for that day so there may be a reduced fee taking into account the fact that there will be no staffing costs...0 -

I wouldn't pay it. It's not a bank holiday but industrial action and when those who are willing to work from home are told if they do, they still won't get paid why should you pay for the nursery when you have to find alternative child care?0
