Sounds like you have had a bad experience. Tell your JCP office about this, they will be interested. Best to address it to the partnership manager who will have the relationship with the WP provider. Dont write off the programme as a whole because of this though.

Judging by what you posted above, sounds shocking.

Yea ok, i agree with ya on that part.

but sending people to these 'work programme' who have had years of experience in work and actually worked in several places or who have degree's diploma's etc don't you think that's a bit insulting and unfair? not insulting, and all of my programmes have been voluntary but can only be sanctioned if they start but dont complete or attend without good reason.

The one's who have never been employed... yea sure send them to courses and work programme's etc (even tho it wont help)it already has for some I have worked with. but ones who have the relevant experience etc no need to send them.

As I said just being at a stage where they are employable or could even attend and function at an interview is a massive step forward for some of the candidates I deal with. That for me is a success, when someone can even apply for a job.

    Thanks, wine sounds good though!!!
I do feel passionately about the good work that happens on this. There is some absolute dross out there, as with any public funded programme, people take advantage (providers & clients both) but there is little recognition for the very good things that go on.

I didn't expect anything more as I knew what kind of company they were the first day I went there when meeting with the manager of the centre.

I am guessing I have slipped off their radar/system (or lack of one)

Shame, it sounds like you are trying to engage with it as well, they could do with keeping you on side!

I did all the homework they set me two days after I got it but part of the homework on their side was for them to look for work for me which I doubt is happening since they can't even make a phone call.

The manager of the company told me when I went there first they act like a recruitment agency and would be matching me with jobs - what a joke!
