:o Oops, I'll check that one out. I do apologise. It's always a good idea to keep an eye on your total on the front page as I am a bit dense sometimes :p

jwil would you find it easier to update the total once a month or are you happy to do as and when? i think i will make around 10 payments a month to my debt from feb

Whatever's easiest for you clippy_girl - I update every day or two anyway, so whenever you post them I'll update them. :)

Thanks for updating the totals so far jwil :)
  • Please add me. I've been in debt for all of my adult life and have got to the stage that I barely have a life because of the amount I am paying in interest every month. So I started searching the internet and came across this site and I have decided that I am going to clear my debts in 16 months through snowballing, concentrating on my credit cards first. It is going to be tough and I know that the excitement and determination I currently have cannot last for 16 months so I have come on to the forum for encouragement.

I had already decided to do lots of overtime in Jan and Feb because I have no life at the minute anyway due to debt. So it was only a small step to deciding to extend that period until I had paid off all my debts. I know that it means effectively working and sleeping for a year but since my life feels that it is already on hold because of debt then it's not really that big a sacrifice. Plus I have the goal of knowing that, instead of struggling to meet ends meet every month, by May 2013 I will have at least £600 a month all to myself!

Looking forward to reading my way through this thread and to watching as my debt shrinks along with everyone else's!

    Total Debt: £13,509.02
Target Debt by end of 2012: £5269.38
Amount I want to have paid off by end of 2012: £8239.64
