well done everyone :) i am not counting my payments at the moment as i am clearing a cc which is not counted in my debt (paid dad off early using the cash and then paid for everything on cc). got about £700 to go which should be done by end of jan (nearly all my ms money and my lodgers rent comes in around 20th).

then from feb will concentrate on tackling my final debt to mum! she has said shes happy to accept random payments of whatever amount throughout the month so if i set her details up on my natwest app then each morning when i check the debt account i can transfer it straight over from the phone in bed :) . i think this will be much more motivational than making one monthly payment as i can see my balance go down each time i get some cash :)

jwil would you find it easier to update the total once a month or are you happy to do as and when? i think i will make around 10 payments a month to my debt from feb

It's very exciting! I got a refund from RM yesterday, I can't wait for it to clear so I can pay it to something :rotfl:
