I've lost track somewhat on this. Feeling sorry for myself today for a lot of reasons, hacked off with life, would love to just get DH and the kids and run away.

Money has had to go on to one of the cards to pay for solicitors fees so there's a few hundred more that we owe. Whoopy-doo! I'm not going to count that for the purpose of this years challenge.

Since I last posted I've paid £30 to the Very, and cleared £83.20 off the Vanquis card. Was well pleased with myself for that, was able to pay off quite a chunk as there was over £40 of DHs wages left last month. Not the case this month though so no extra overpayments except those that I make on a weekly basis.

    New total is: £1022.65/£2000

Hopefully this month will be a better one.

Hope things improve this month for you wannabehermit :)

£25 minimum payment off Virgin. GOt news of a week of gigs for DH In August that will make a huge dent into our debt (whatever's remaining by then!) I'm actually hoping it might finish it off, although then we'll have to concentrate on DH's credit card which is his old overdraft balance-transfered. I think it will be about £1500 by then. then after THAT we will be down to just his student loan, which he pays off from his salary at source each month so we don't really count it, and our mortgage, which we're already overpaying as we're on a tracker. I think what I really want to do then is to start building up savings, which we've never had. What a concept - savings!

You're getting very close now :T
