    Hey guys

I've not been about much as we actually moved to the new place on Friday and wont get our new telephone line until tomorrow (plus the previous 2 weeks were spent sorting the new place so it was habitable and trying not to cry when the electrician ripped the living room/kitchen to shreds due to a fault!). Glad to hear things are going well for this months totals though! :T

I've managed to make an extra £100 payment off the c/card today, a full £180 less than I'd hoped for, but as mentioned previously, frequent trips to the DIY store, buying of white goods etc haven't come cheap, so all in all I'm pretty pleased that I'm paying off any extra at all. :rotfl:

Jwil - you may recall our discussion about BT, when we rang them they said they could waive the connection fee, but couldn't do any extra deals for us. We decided to pay £30 to cancel the account (which was in my OH's name) and requested a new installation which is free of charge in my name. By going via a cashback site we hope to get £120 cashback, plus we get £25 off a month for 3 months for the same phone, broadband & tv package that we had before. Hopefully we'll be really sensible if/when we get the cashback and use it to pre-pay our line rental which will save a further £4 a month...

    Here's to payday tomorrow! :j

    103. Twiggy_34 - £1267/£3566

That's great news about them waiving the charge, but even better news about getting the better deal :j Hope you enjoy the new house :)

Just paid off 150 off Post Office and 64 from Virgin so that's £1368.39/£5684.54. annoyingly the Virgin 0% is about to come to an end and whilst I do have new 0% cards to transfer to, I'm a bit miffed that its going to cost me £75 for the priviledge:( Might transfer some and try and pay a little bit more off before it runs out if I can
Debt free and busy treating myself:)

No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales

    Hi,
Just dropped in to add a payment of £50 to bring my challenge total to

    £138/£14,990.16

I'm a bit frustrated because I wanted to make a £20 online payment to another debt but their website has been down all afternoon so it will have to be carried over to April.

I'm still pleased with my progress since joining on 21/3

    Happy debt-busting everyone!:T
Faced my debts in 2012 & 2013 again in 2017 now hitting it in 2018!
    1 debt v 100 days chapter 30 £56.69 / £731.69 7.7%
September Bring Your Lunch to work --/14
    1 debt V 100 days (part 11) £175 / £1158 18%
    1 debt v 100 days (part 10) - £913 / £979 93%

  • Well how things change in one month

Have accepted a new job but for less basic pay but with a few hours overtime it should work out about the same. I will also be commuting around 50% less miles. I start my new job in May.

The difference in salary is equivalent smoking (I am not a heavy smoker) so I have now given up the weed as I don't like relying on things like overtime.

This month has been a good month I suspect giving up smoking has made most of the difference. Also mainly had sandwiches for lunch and not canteen food.

    This months total is £504.78

Again thanks for this thread it is helping me keep focused

Overall total for your page 1 update for number 97 £1331/£4510

Hi. Not been on for ages unfortunately. Been saving any extra cash for DD's 18th birthday.. But good thing is I can pay it in cash which will be a first :D. Anyways £143.14 paid so now £1,959.87/£10,000. I'm well short of the 2.5k I should be sitting at to reach my target but am still quite pleased with that figure. I just need to start pushing myself some more
5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60
