Hi all, i have been lurking about for a while and would love to join you this year. At the start of the year i had a loan with £8206.20 outstanding (inc interest) and a credit card debt of £3501.18.

My target for this year is to clear my credit card and then save to request an early settlement for my loan (whilst still paying the monthly installments of course...), i am planning to include this savings pot as part of my "payments made" for this challenge if that is OK with everyone???

    - so my overall target is £11707.38.

To the 29.02.12 i have "paid off" a total of £2478.68 of my target which is 21% - if i can keep this up i should be able to clear these debts this year.....

    fingers crossed....

Welcome to the challenge leictina, good to have you on board ;) Well done on the overpayments so far, and savings count here too :)

Hi fairyclicks, could you double check your total for me please? Should that £50 payment be added to the previous total or was that one an error?

    Thank you :)

    Hi All

£68 paid to CC so balance now:

    £891.94/£3762.44 23% paid

Had an interesting letter regarding my bank loan yesterday. It said that my loan had reached maturity on 3rd March and they were charging me £36 extra for changing my payment date at the begging by about 5 days, shows how much interest they charge daily!!!
But, this means I had paid it off a month earlier than I thought and I only have the extra interest left to pay! :j:T So although I will actually end up paying a little more, in my mind I am paying less then I thought because it finished a month earlier. When it's all out of my bank and confirmed I will change my target amount, though this will probably go up with the extra cc I will probably add in, but yay to paying less than I thought! :j
