Afternoon all,
Visit to OH's consultant....to discuss putting him on new drug which can replace Warfarin, only benefit seems to be that there will not be the same need to monitor his blood levels. Got prescription, went to pharmacist to be told that there would be an extra cost of €150 per month as health service only pay for one month and then not at all!! Got the free month's worth and then on way home decided that it is not costing anything like €150 per month to have Warfarin test done.....maybe €1.20 for parking and whatever we spend that we wouldn't have done if we stayed at home....so as you were!
Absolute deluge here this morning, has improved a bit now, but very cold and windy, with heavy showers...wonderful gardening or clothes drying weather!
Hugs to all in need of one or more.
We had an early lunch out on way home from hospital and OH has just asked me what I want to eat....he is going to cook steak and chips, very unusual for him to eat 2 large meals in the day, will not refuse a 'ready meal'!
Need to get on with another poncho, finished one last night and am reasonably pleased with it....its eyelash wool so not sure how it will 'hang', but the DGDs are not fussy so am sure they will be pleased with them....they need to go in post by Monday 5th to be sure of pre-Christmas delivery.
Nothing exciting happening here...
Stay safe and well
Marie
Lou.....Mossy, the 5year old labrador X....( not sure what with) when he was living with DS2, who owns him, ate a plastic lawn mower and most of a wooden panelled fence on either side of their garden...he has improved now, but will still steal and eat anything left in his path.....only thing that saves him from a slow and painful death ( I'm joking LW!) is that he has a lovely nature!Weight 08 February 86kg0 -
Just woke up from a quick nap after being at work. Went to the dentist today after the abcess I had in my mouth burst!!! it smelt and tastied horrendous!!!!!!!! but instant pain relief anyway, this dentist is about 12 yrs, or is it me getting older, dishy and smelt nice so it was worth the abcess I even have to go back next week and suffer him again!!!!!!!!
Weather not good here very windy and raining a gale, glad Im indoors. Going to eat something out of freezer - proper food not soup and thats about the only OS thing im doing today.
Day off tomorrow but Im looking after DGD as school is shut and DD1 works, lucky for her I dont work Weds otherwise she would have had to take one of her 20 days holiday off or worse still take it off unpaid, she is a single mom but supports themselves very well, shes probably more savvy about money and os than I am!
Anyway off to have a prod around in the freezer

evening!
back from the dishy Doc:) blood pressure still sky high so he's started me on some pills - going back for blood tests, heart tracing and kidney function tests in a couple of weeks. Also started me on a low dose of HRT - so am looking forward to feeling a lot better before too long!:j
Just having a cuppa before deciding what to cook for tea.
MeanMarie - thats an expensive drug:eek:
see you all later xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Meanmarie if your hubby is doing well on Warfarin, and is happy to have the regular tests, I don't see why they want to tinker - on the basis of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". And that's a lot of money to find every month!
Nannygladys _pale_ OMG that sounds vile! Healing vibes for you; mouth ulcers are bad enough, but a full-blown abcess doesn't bear thinking about.
Tappers I hope the BP pills and the HRT help.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
advice needed please! I had planned to goto Scotland for xmas and OH would stay here, go to his grandparents for lunch, then stay at his parents. They've told him that pup isn't welcome and it's not fair to leave him in the day and then at night/over night on his own. So OH has to spend christmas alone...
Thats not fair on OH so I was going to stay home instead and go up to scotland after christmas. But how do i tell my mum/gran? IF that is what happens then i'll also need to tell his family i'm not eating christmas dinner with them because i am furious with them right now. ARGH.Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hi,
I haven't been able to post at my normal am time because my mind has been stuck in overdrive but have to say, more thanks for wishes and poss vibes from my friends on here.
DGD slept through last night and after a hearty b/fast I took her to play group, the words "Bye I love you so much Nanny" has kept me going.I took her overnight stuff back to DD2 and today was the first time baby Olivia smiled a real smile. Melted my heart and at the same time hoped I will see many more for years to come.
I have been really silly and G00gled symtoms of kidney "C". I scored 6 out of 7. Didn't manage to get that at school.
JG Your right I do have another one to rely on.
DGal, thanks for the possitive post about your next but one neighbour.
I have read but not taken in all posts, so sorry.:o:o:o0 -
Tell them the honest truth; surely they'd be understanding, that you don't want poor OH having to be alone at Xmas? Maybe put it that there's been a breakdown in communications somewhere along the line, and you're really sorry, and it's a darned nuisance and all that, but you have to change your plans.
Just my thoughts, on the fly, before I dash out and prepare our dins.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
