    Morning everyone

Flutterby - sounds like you're best off out of it, if he hasn't got the guts to tell you face to face that's a sign of real cowardice, big hugs xxx

How bizarre, sky the same weird colour as yesterday, so think it will be chilly but dry (that's what it was yesterday anyway!!). DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock.

Work yesterday was horrendous, got to work as a opener, half the systems we use were down, the colleague who I met to open with (we have to open with someone else) is lovely but completely scatty and arrived by the skin of her teeth, so then she couldn't get into the cashiering system and I'm not the sort of person to let someone struggle so I tried to help her and finished up not doing the stuff I should have done and then when I took over from her at lunch time was a bit stressed and my till was short last night - so through helping someone else I haven't helped myself. Got my boss to come and check my calculations etc and we just need to go through the transactions this morning to see if there is anything glaringly obvious! Not happy with myself for making a mistake though so haven't slept all that well. Dinner last night was fish, chips/jacket, beans/veg, tonight will be quickies as DS1 has rugby training. Just have a long day today, training tomorrow until lunchtime then I'm on hols until 12 Dec, can't come soon enough as far as I'm concerned!!

Have a great day everyone, hugs to those that need/want them, take care.

    Morning Everyone,

It's my DS2 22nd Birthday today:j but he is not up yet as he doesn't start work until 11 today.

Will spend the day at home today cooking his special tea. We are having a buffet style with roast chicken, french bread, salad, pasta etc and chocolate tart all his favourites.

After tea need to pop and see DD and DGS and do a practice run for the job interview as it is in the same area.

esmf, can I ask did you get the valuation you were expecting on your house. Ours will hopefully go on the market after Xmas and I have an idea what its worth but was it what you expected iykwim, just wondering with the housing market being as it is.

    Happy Tuesday all

God it was busy at the Market in Brum - we were actually stood still (apart from when we got shoved) for over 5 minutes at one time.

Dundeedoll - :rotfl: I did wander past there and think of that lovely weekend in Jan! The markets were horrifically busy on Sat  I don't do too well in crowds with my vertigo and hated it. Sunday wasn't as bad, but TBH I didn't rate the markets this year, same stalls everywhere.

Will post again later, hope you all have a good day

    Morning all,

Very windy here , wm is just about to finish, so I think I will risk hanging it on the line for a while.

Thanks again for all the Birthday wishes for my dd, she had a fab day xx

Julie Happy Birthday to your ds for today xx

This morning I need to have a good tidy / clean through downstairs, and do an online shop, then off to see dad at lunch time back to walk the dog, and cook dinner, then flop on the sofa for an hour :D

My mum is suposed to be coming to dinner tonight, but I am going to try and put her off, its been a bit of a madhouse here the last few days, and I just want to have a relaxing evening berfore work tomorrow.

Dinner is pork chops, roast spuds, and loads of veg.

Hugs to Beth and Jackkie G xxx

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all!
Still blowing a hoolie here and persisting with rain, roads were bad enough last night with flooding so must be awful today.
Thank goodness I am off today and tomorrow ,yesterday was spent trying to find out what staff were striking without asking them, as thats not allowed! Looks like my ward will have no staff on night shift tonight, and 1 on day shift tomorrow, and senior managers haven't told anyone the emergency plan yet! Its a flipping nightmare!
Today I could do with finishing the present shopping, but might stay in to keep dry!
Hugs to everyone who needs or wants, still too many of us here with worries!
    Have a good day all!

    Hi all

I,m having one of those awkward weeks this week, DD had dentist yesterday at 1.30' arrived on time, went in an hour late, so had to phone work and take it as an afternoon off, instead of a late lunchbreak.
Got home last night, phone ringing, was doctors with a last minute appointment for DS to have a mole removed from his head, they recommended he stayed off school for the day, so another call to work and day off today.....
Day off tomorrow, due to strike, and on Friday i,ve got the dentist at 0830... Just hope i,ve got a job to go back to on monday LOL, luckily they are great and i,m using my holidays.

Going to have a major clean up today, kitchen is a mess, laundry everywhere, bathroom needs a good going over, why do teenagers leave empty bottles, loo rolls everywhere...

Sweet and sour chicken for dinner:D

Have a fab day all xx

  • Morning everyone.

Tired as was up in the night with DS. finally got back to my bed to find I'd be usurped by DD  it's dark, wet and windy here, one of those days I want to hide under the duvet. Sadly its bed changing day here so that ain't gonna happen. Going round to my mums this afternoon to help her finish some Xmas cakes.

I really need to get a move on. Tea will be leg portions with potatoes and veg done in the Remoska :) still not sure of the timings for things with it and discovered if I make a Victoria sponge then I shall have to cook one tin at a time as two won't work on the rack. Must get some foil though before I start that.

Sorry I'll stop waffling and go.

Hugs and spoons all round xxx
