Somebody who finds a fault after ten days. Like a phone freezing. Or for a £400 phone, after a lot longer. If you have great feedback, you've been jammy.

You base that on what knowledge?....none!...so be factual!

In reality then......how long can it be deemed to no longer be the responsibility of the seller?

How are you or I to know if they haven't dropped the phone and caused the problem and now looking to pass the blame?

A buyer with 1 previous feedback stating that they never paid for a £350 blackberry after winning the auction.......compared to mine with over 400 feedbacks @ 100% positive.

Hmmm which as an outsider would you be more wary of?

The only reason i proceeded with the sale was that they did in fact pay me (but learn't my lesson on that front)

I think the buyer has 45 days to raise a dispute, but I might be wrong.
  • 45 days for INR. 180 days for chargeback - although the longest I have seen on these boards is 2 years.

    Thanks.

Am not trying to be an awkward seller...its just some things 'smell fishy' as the reason me posting this thread before i even new about the claim.

What if i receive a damaged or different phone back?
  • Well your options then would be via civil proceedings. Ebay and Paypal will refund in full once the tracking shows delivery/attempt delivery or refusal.

I don't follow this at all, what exactly are you appealing and what are you proving?

If i receive back a different phone to the one i sent, or mine comes back damaged.

Am not actually in process of this, only if the above scenario was to take place.

Do you ring a mechanic every time you drive - just in case? Wait to see what happens. You have a buyer who opened a dispute due to your response. Doesn't sound like a scammer to any of us.
But just to be clear. Nobody has any proof the phone you sent relates to any imei number you come up with. All this paranoia about serial numbers is a waste of time.
