  • do you know why it takes 5 days paying through lloyds to get into your citi account?

we ordered one when we accivated our cards, and got the cheque book within 2 working days and the paying in slips which is fantastic, they are quite quick in that department, i thought we wouldnt get a cheque book since i read that you had to pay in a certain amount of money each month

because LTSB are just an agent and not actually anything else to do with them so after the security checks they do it then goes into your citi account about 4-5 days I know this is a pain thats why I decided to have everything put in rather than paying in. when wages and benefits go in its instant,

when writing a cheque does it still clear like normal banks 3-4 working days?

again sorry for all the questions

  • i only use cheques to pay child minding fees, and hubby will be using the cheques when he is away for 6 months, he is navy, and needs a cheque book, thats the only reason we got one, but shops here dont accept cheques anymore, like morrisons, asda, even the local shops now,
  • I think thats because its all chip and pin nowadays, but I understand where your coming from being ex-army myself the naffi used to only except cheques, back in the day.
