Tbh, I've never had any problems with bikers or horse-riders. In my experience they are usually polite, alert and aware of other road users. They also normally "say" thanks when you move out of the way/slow down for them, even when other road users in the region seem to be habitual "non-thankers".

But the number of jaywalkers and inconsiderate motorists who force their way out, against the traffic flow... Grrr! :p And then there's those pesky cyclists... lol

I am also a cyclist, pedestrian and driver, however I have now given up my daily cycle in Edinburgh as as Custardy comments, near death experiences are a daily occurence from motorists who have to get to the next set of lights first.

However my nearest death experience was when I was knocked off my bike by a pedestrian, he wasnt injured but I was blue lighted to hospital, and he wrote off my bike.

I think the majority of people are motorists who seem to be in too much of a hurry to take care of any other road users, who they perceive to be in their way, I used to cycle because in Edinburgh it was way quicker than trying to go anywhere in a car.

I see motorists break the rules of the road as well as cyclists and pedestrians every day, the problem seems to be that a collision with a car is usually much more serious for the cyclist and the pedestrian than the motorist.

A more considerate attitude to all road users by all road users would go a long way to help, but I fear modern life has passed that point long ago
