Unless you go with the HSBC owned first direct :)

(I would also consider first direct as they always come top for customer service and are the best bank I've been with so far)

    HSBC without a doubt.
Used them for years without a single problem, bar that blackout a few weeks back.
If you use online banking their online offering is the best I've came across.
Although i have Santander and RBS as well, Santander takes an age to make transfers
out of your account. RBS is ok, but I don't like the online banking the offer.
  • listen 'mI with the co-operative and i have got a membership card whichh mean i get points and witrh the points i can get vouchers to spend in the co-operative food etc or money direct to my bank account also i'm not showing off lol:D

I have a co-op account with that too, but I would still consider first direct better as you get through to someone in a few rings without any IVR menus which makes a nice change - when I phoned the co-op I had to go through a load of menus to speak to someone.

yeah just phone first direct to see if they where open 24/7 and did not know thought i was gonna get press 1 for this and someone answered nearly died lol as for the co-op i no what number to press that get you straight through to an advisor.

Fair enough, first direct just makes a nice change from HSBC and been on hold for 20 - 25 minutes once! The only time I had to wait a little longer (around 6 rings) was when internet banking wasn't working and obviously more people were calling them.
