Didn't realise it had already gone up to £1.50, was only a £1 when I worked for them although admittedly that was a good few years ago! I agree, I think their greed may see an end to them unfortunately :(

Are there any other companies offering a similar service that you could consider switching to? Maybe try them out now while you see how 63336 goes?

I'm going to take a look and see what else is around. Even if I could find 9 different ways of making £100 a month, or 6 ways of making £150 etc.

I really don't want to go back to working a 'normal' job if I can help it, as I don't want my health to go downhill because of it.

My mum has a Mazda 2.
I dident like it when I test drove it though.
I think diesels are only cost effective if you do a large mileage from what I can gather.

  • Great choice on the Mazda 2 I know a few ppl who have them and love them. They are cheap on fuel and tax too!

I am pretty sure there are plenty of ways of working at home! You'll find something awesome :D

We're going to look at a Mazda and Mini tomorrow morning. Not sure if I'll be able to test drive them too, might have to go back to do that.

Still not sure what to do about the work situation. I would love to get into writing, but I don't know how I'm supposed to work on that and support myself. I could do with winning a few grand so I can pay 6 months rent up front and take the time out to write ;).

If I had a choice between a Mini and a Mazda I'd go for the Mini :D If you have the option!

Have you thought of blogging you can get paid for it, it might get you started or writing short stories at first. :)

Went car shopping yesterday. Mini were quite rude and because the one guy that deals with motability wasn't available, nobody else was willing to take me out on a test drive and just took my details and said someone would call me. That is the second time I have gone there for a test drive - the first time I was completely ignored as everyone was busy. I don't mind if they are all busy, but they didn't even acknowledge my presence.

Anyway, things went a bit better at Mazda. Went for a test drive. It was a fun car to drive and the colour is truly lovely. I then went to Ford and they were the most helpful by far. The guy took me for a test drive in a 1.6 diesel and it is a lot faster than my 1.4. I think I'm going to go for a Ford again. Mainly because if I got the Mini or Mazda, I would miss my creature comforts, like Bluetooth, parking sensors, heated windscreen, keyless entry etc etc. The Mazda is quite basic in terms of interior and I'm not sure I would want to forgo my luxuries for the sake of a nice colour.

I'm still going to test drive the Mini, just because it's on my 101 list ;).

Speaking of which, I started reading a book at 8pm last night and should be able to finish it by 8pm tonight (only 2 more chapters left). So by my reckoning, that is a book read in one day, so I will be able to cross that one off my 101 list.

Trying to think of ways of working from home too. So far, only come up with:

    Mystery shopping
    63336
    Surveys
    Slice the Pie

Unfortunately, surveys and STP are just pocket money, so those wouldn't get me very far.

Going to look around for some other ways. Let me know if you can think of anything :).

  • Shame about Mini, keep trying though! I think you can buy the Parking Sensors on a Mazda but if they are already there on a Ford then thats a better idea. :o

I found Slicethepie boring but surely there's something you can do from home! I will have a think. :p

That's the thing, I could probably get all of my gadgets and gizmos fitted onto a Mazda or Mini (apart from the heated windscreen), but I would pay a fortune to do it. But with the Ford, they are already on the car, and I still only have to pay £400.

I find STP incredibly boring too. I think for the next few months at least, I will have to persevere with 63336, but up my mystery shopping work to make up for the shortfall in questions. They say they are going to start advertising 63336 soon, so fingers crossed it picks up again in a few months.

So what's keyless entry? Brick through the window?
