I've nearly finished a patchwork cushion cover using pieces of t-shirt left over from making t shirt yarn... I'll hopefully finish it tomorrow and post a pic!

I'd like to attempt one of these bags...

However, it says I need quilt batting??? any idea what this is, is it just wadding? I wondered if one of the quilters on here may know?

Batting is just the American word for our wadding. Love this tote. Thanks for the link.

Those dolls are really sweet, and would be gorgeous for some lucky child to collect!

I've finished my first patchwork project... I saved the centre design from a worn out hemp t-shirt and used squares cut from the sleeves of grey t-shirts I used for t-shirt yarn, so it's very MSE! The backing is from an old curtain (unseen in the photo).

Can't insert an image, can anyone tell me how to do that? I've included the Flickr URL for now instead:

I made lots of mistakes but learned a lot making this - I'm glad I started small!

The finished size is about 18 inches tall, so quite big.
Three of them have been claimed for birthday presents. I now have itchy fingers wanting to begin another one.

Wow I imagined them to be much smaller... you really have a gift there arroli, anyone receiving one of those is so lucky!

I have just found this following a link from another thread - I only wish I had the time to read through everything! I sew mainly costumes for medieval re-enactment, and both love and hate it at times! I was wondering if any of you knows where I can get a new belt for my old hand singer, which i would like to take to events with me - I love the idea of sitting in a field with my sewing machine!
