No 4 checking in with 1st Feb OP of £120
    June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!
  • No 54 checking for February! £140 for this month which hopefully makes up a bit for last months poor attempt at overpaying. I've still got a rather large credit card to pay off but the balance is coming down nicely now and its all on course to be paid off before the interest free period runs out.

So on the MFW front... I got my first gas/electric bill in months from my new supplier and was a bit lower then expected. I'm waiting for my last supplier to give me my final bill as I have a big credit on my account and hopefully I'll get some of that back if my final bill is low enough which can go towards overpaying.

    No. 19 update for February
I've paid in £1,700 today into various savings accounts.

I have listed a few things on eBay today which hopefully should net me another £150 which I can add to the total later on in the month.

    Hi All,

Sorry long work day yesterday and had no chance to log on. Thanks for keeping up with it all MUN.

So, black taxi all corrected for you, Barny your new total reflects that in your signature, CathT your Feb OP is noted, Simba you're up to date on the list and uzubairu your great OP is noted. Well done all.

Take care in the cold and ice everyone.

    See you later,

  • As of today my mortgage stands at £7813 (and 41p)
Every time it drops under the next thousand it feels so much closer to being gone.

My new job is going to pay me less but is far more secure than my current one. I escaped the round of redundancies last Summer but probably only a matter of time before the next one.

I'm hoping I'll still be able to overpay the same amount each month but I may have to drop it after April. I reckon I could still be mortgage free by December though, only a few months later than intended. I'm liking the year of the dragon very much so far :D
  • £600 paid off today! Its a great feeling hope everyone else is on track!
    Current mortgage - £12000
aim to pay £6000 this year (mfw #20)

Evi, yes you are No.47 and I've updated you.

Malski an excellent total which is showing on the spreadsheet as £810 (because the figures automatically round up/down).

Hannahnightmare, it is such a great feeling, your OP is noted.

Twistedhazel your OP from the googledoc has been transferred to the spreadsheet.

Good luck with the new job starflame. It does give you a great kick when you pass another thousand mark, I agree.

    See you all later,
