Awww, thank you Southernman. The support on this thread has been fantastic for us all. I wish I could claim the kudos of having paid of £8k in the first 18 months of this mortgage (all those years ago!!!).

VoucherMan has kindly drafted up some googledocs for next year but I haven't had time to look at them yet. I will do over the next few days, honestly.

    See you tomorrow,

Hope I didn't put you off with all the comments!

In case anyone else wants to suggest any improvements (or make any criticisms)

    Sample MFW chart.

Much the same as this years but I tried playing around adding an extra coloured column 'C'.

On the current chart the colours indicate how close you are to your overall target.

I tried to add one which would show if you're on target. e.g. at the end of March (25% through the year) the bar will be green if you've reached 25% of your target. Orange if you're slightly behind, then red.

Couldn't think of any encouraging comments to add in the bars (any suggestions?)

Also added a hyperlink to people's MFW diaries for those who want to (copied financialbliss's idea from the MFIT challenges)
  • just popping in to say that I won't be making any further OP's this year.....my dog is unwell and I have a lot of expenses to cover that were unexpected :(

I will be back on the Mfit t3 challenge from the new year (although the first six months will be very lean ones) and I want to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to Spigs for doing this all year and to everyone else who contributes .....it makes a huge difference to a lot of people :D

    Good afternoon,

    Quick post today.

You are, as always, welcome lighthousescotland.

Excellent ajmoney, all updated for you.

No, not put off at all Voucherman! Just lacking a bit of time.

Message received and understood icontinuetodream, I do hope your dog gets better soon. Our pets are so important to us.

It made me giggle to see the column with "slipping" and "!" in...I think that pretty much says it all, really. :rotfl:

I'm just so glad that we're going to continue this thread into next year (or am I jumping the gun? sorry if so). I've already started musing on next year's target....

Well, better get ready to go to that place that lets me have money each month to overpay my mortgage :o

    Have a lovely day, everyone!

Don’t worry. There’s definitely going to be a thread. Whether Spiggle continues to run it, shares the responsibility or passes it on.

No. 68 Another small OP means November's total is now £144.80
    MFW 2025 No. 7 £1130/£1200
    MFiT-T7 No. 6 £2873.51/£30,000

After end of month jiggery pokery of accounts and spreadsheets I have found a whopping £550 to OP!!

This means I have broken through another target this year - something I would never have managed without the support of the forums and particularly this thread - thanks to everyone but especially Spigs!!

The countdown to MFiT T3 begins although I would also love to be able to update monthly with an MFW2013 thread so thanks Voucherman/Spiggle (if there's any chance of being number 6 that would also be great - as then I'd be the same on both charts!!!:D)
