Just had to pop back in to say hi to Cbsexec, that's great!! Hope you have a great time too, I've been once before with the same three friends and it was so amazing. If you're flying from manchester we'll be the four excited females grinning at everyone because life feels so good :rotfl:
I forgot to mention before that I am also a lucky lady in my friends and family - I try to tell them oftem how much they mean to me, I love them dearly. We are going through a fairly happy time at the mo and I am thankful for that. DD2 going great guns in her new job, only been there three weeks and already in charge of a section!! She still says it's not her forever job and she may look for something else after christmas but I'm not sure she should rush to change, she likes this and they seem to like her and you don't throw that away lightly these days do you?? Kids!!!!

Evening all
Happy birthday Jools
I'm back from Birmingham, had a lovely weekend. Lots of shopping and gossiping. I didn't buy much though, just some new shoes (needed) and a skirt (not so needed!!) and some Krispy Kremes...mmmm..... The birthday girl loved all her presents.
I feel bad writing this but I am slightly annoyed though as no-one offered me any petrol money  I used about £70 worth, and they saw me fill up twice! Normally when we do a road trip that far we split petrol costs, and for shorter trips the non drivers tend to pay parking/tolls and for drivers lunch. They did pay parking and bridge toll but that totalled £16 between 3 of them! I don't feel that I can ask for the money as it would make things awkward and I don't want that. I'm sure it's just an oversight rather than not offering IYKWIM, but still a bit annoying. I won't offer to drive next time! Anyway...
Back to work tomorrow, think I'll regret not having a chilled out weekend but you only live once! :rotfl:
Loving Strictly, glad Anita went tonight. X Factor is boring! I'm a Celeb  poor Fatima! And how mean is Anthony?! boo!
No OS, need to use WM but will wait til tomorrow night.
Have a good night all

FB - When they call to see if you are going out, you will have to say that you have no money left as the petrol to Birmingham was £70!! It may make them think. DGMember #8 of the SKI-ers Club
Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Just popped in to see what you are all up to.
Love to the birthday girl - although it's nearly over, sorry.
HH: That is just awful! No wonder so many people have decided that they can't afford to work. Transport costs are diabolical, is there no possibility of something nearer home? Even something part time might give you more money if you don't have fares to consider. What have we come to?
Lou: (of the webbed feet), what do you mean, you didn't notice? Do you do a lot of paddling in your kitchen?
Julie: I have heard that some people use just a tiny bit of Stardrops in a DW. not tried it myself though. How can people just not pay their bills? That's theft in my book.
That's it for tonight, sleep well.I believe that friends are quiet angels
