    Morning all,

Blowing a hoolie here, its been raining all night here, but seems to have stopped now, OH is off at the boot sale, and dd still in bed, will get her up now, as I think she is seeing her dad today.

No washing on the go, as the weather is bad, so will leave it till tomorrow.

For dinner tonight we are having a chinese takeaway :j, with my mum (and possibly brother) and sis and bil, its my DD's birthday tomorrow, and this is her choice of takeaway, the birthday person always chooses.

Need to hoover through, and make the house presentable for guests.

Saw my dad yesterday, and he was very good, but so thirsty, and had a huge drink, they have upped his food, so at least he is having enough to eat.

Hester if your hubby is on split shifts how will he get too and from the station if you are at work ? what a terrible situation

Jackie G, obviously you know your kids better than anyone, but to my mind 9 (and possibly 12) is just too young to cope with that situation, maybe as others have said ask them what they think xxxx

:bdaycake:Not 100 % certain of this one, but I think It might be Jools Birthday today, Happy Birthday if it is hun xxxx

Mrs Mix, how nice to see you posting xx

Have good days all, off to make some cheese on toast :D

    Morning All,

Hester sorry to hear about you work situation, life can be so unfair.
JackieG I went to see my grandad before he passed away in the hospital. I was 12 and really wish I hadn't, the sight of him looking so ill is always the first thing I remember but maybe its not that way for everyone, an awful decision to have to make

Another rubbish nights sleep, just can't sleep through and up and down to the loo. I have cut out drinks after 9, think I will have to make that 6 and see if it helps.
Very windy here as well but looks bright and sunny. More spraying of the kitchen cupboards today, the kitchen is looking good.
I am loving strictly at the moment. Harry is my tip to win:D
Dinner today will be roast pork again and will also make chocolate brownies and a fruit tea loaf for DH.
Off to lounge in front of Something for the weekend and eat bacon butties.
    Have a good day all J x

    Morning :hello:

I threw a tantrum yesterday but no-one was here to see it :rotfl: As I was tidying, I'd do things like put something away then slam the cupboard door while yelling WHY THE FOOK CAN'T X CLEAR UP AFTER THEMSELVES, THE LAZY ~#%£&* :D I repeated this many, many times and ended up with a headache that lasted all day.

I've decided to stop living by the rules - ordered by the doctor, enforced by me - because they worked brilliantly for a while but now make no difference whatsoever. So I ate a huge bowl of cereal for breakfast and will have a big pile of toasties for lunch. I didn't realise how restrictive it all was, I already feel so much freer :D The other trus are really annoying me at the moment so I will be ignoring their sighs and doing whatever the hell I like.

We've just pulled lots of carrots out of the ground. We'll eat some today, freeze some and make the rest into soup.

We've replaced two windows downstairs, they weren't openers before and now they are. The hall now seems a lot fresher and the clothes in the little utility room are drying much faster. We replaced the glass in the kids rooms, they were double glazed but the vacuum had gone. The rooms are much warmer now, the kids have turned their radiators right down so hopefully the heating bill will shrink a bit. Just need to save for the other windows now.

I'm going to spend the day lazing on the sofa :D

    Morning All

Had a night with no children last night - very rare occurence here! I slept until nearly 10am this morning which is unheard of for me! We went out for dinner and even stuck to SW - Go me!

Day 11 I think of SW - still going strong. I can do this! Still haven't been weighed but I feel better. This week I am attemting to make it more family friendly and eat the same (if slightly different version) as what they are having. The easier I make it on myself the more successful I'll be.

Started Christmas Shopping on friday and finished it yesterday - most ordered online so I'll need a few nights of wrapping and that'll be done. I do want a couple of things for DH but I'll wait til nearer the day as he will want them now if he knows I have them!

Going to pick DD up from the Twins, do mystery shop pick up stepkids from their mums then get on with the reports and braise a big batch of mince to use as a meal base.

JG it's a tough decision you have their but ultimately you know your boys best and you will make the right decision x big hugs xx

    Enjoy your Sunday x

  • Bitsy, the 2 shifts can't be consecutive as that would leave no room for a lunch break. I have listed some scarves on ebay, no luck as yet.

Sorry you are faced with the decision JG. Try to see what you own gut thoughts are. There is no right or wrong. Thinking of you and all your family.
Beemuzed - think of your DS. Hope he's ok.
Lou - how lovely to hold a wee baby. Hope your DS feels better soon.
We have a glorious sunny day here - 2 dog walks in the park and really enjoyed it. Blustery wind but nothing to what you have in the west I think.
    Ironing done for the week.
Out for Sun lunch, first in ages so am looking forward to it. Nice and hungry.
Might make a pot of soup when we get back. Might not:p
