    Hi all,

HH - what a pain in the bum for you both, !fingers crossed that it sorts itself out xx

As promised, I have been more OS this weekend - washing done, plate pie made with LO beef stew, and made a load of minced beef 'base' in SC for chilli,s,shep pie or whatever during the week. !Roast pork for dinner, with pulled pork wraps for tomorrows dinner.

Can anyone give me some ebay advice - I want to sell my Vita-mix, to be honest i,ve barely used it since my loverly OH bought me a magimix last year, the problem I have is thats its very heavy, and I don,t know what to put for postage, or whether to do it as an auction or buy-it-now - i hate awkward money things..... !Ta muchly xx

Have a fab day all xx

Thanks for the birthday wishes! Got the new professor layton game so have been developing eye strain on the DS! Have also got a new Terry Pratchett book, and got yummy hand cream, and money from Mum. Am now patiently waiting for MIL to bring home the teenage son, will we still be moving out tomorrow, I wonder. Tea tonight will be sirloin steaks if OH stops annoying me, if not he can have a tin of soup and will go out with DD for dinner! Oh well, back to nintendo land!

just had a disaster in the kitchen  i was wiping the dust away and could hear water trickling. i said to hubby who sat wiping the skirting boards i could hear trickling of water. hubby turned to look at me and shouted that it was by my feet  i looked and and had a huge puddle of water around my feet  where i had put the washing machine on, hubby hadnt yet checked to see if the hose was still in the right place... clearly it wasnt :rotfl: i was completely oblivous to having wet feet :o:rotfl: will wait for him to check the dishwasher before i put that on :o

so floor is done. the dust has got everywhere  only small problem is that some of the tiles are a little different. hubby says its because they are a different batch but i think they are a slightly different design. but it doesnt matter. can walk in the kitchen and not crack tiles as you go now.

Hoppy Birdday Jools. Mr LW and I have been reading the new Pratchett - tbh, I don't think it's really as good as his usual standard - got to wonder if the Alzheimers is taking more of a toll on him.:( Still an enjoyable book though.:o And I got the new Prof Layton, too - thanks to loads of surveys, and therefore got loads of Amazon vouchers.;) I like the Prof Layton games, because they're good brain exercise material, iyswim; with lupus brainfog, I want to make sure to keep the ol' grey matter working as long as I can.:o

Jackieg (((HUG))) difficult decision - youngsters can vary so much, it's hard to say if there's an age when it becomes the right thing to let them see someone in BIL's situation; so no words of wisdom from me, just posi-vibes.:o

  • First of all Happy Birthday!!

We have had a small gammon joint 1kg from lidl for about £3.50, started cooking it in the slow cooker in apple juice and chopped up a bramley apple i had left, then after 2 hrs i transferred it to the oven but i coated it in Honey/mustard and brown sugar, we had it with homemade roast potatoes yorkie puds and fresh veg, i made a sauce to drizzle using.......flour/milk/butter/chives/mustard.

For afters i made a microwave jam steamed pudding and custard, all of it went down a treat and will be making it again.......OH couldnt get enough of it.:j

Washings been done and is drying on clothes horse still, then il be irioning it all :(

Will start making some fudge later on which will be given to my grandparents for xmas and some rocky road in a jar.:T

Been very OS this morning. Grocery shopping Mr T and Mr A to get best deals at both. Batch cooking chilli and shepherds pie from YS mince. Padded out both with lentils, so although recipes are for 4, should get 6 out of each. Using up very old frozen broad beans and slightly freezer burned prawns tonight in a rissotto.

Picked up YS lamb and beef mince, and beef stir fry strips for fajitas in Mr A. Mr T was doing 1/2 price Icelandic cod with another 1/3 off after that. £3.00 a kilo. Not going to turn that down so its in the freezer for fish pies.

Once cooking finished off to walk dog in my nice new Hunter wellies (1/2 price) and welly warmers.

    Afternoon all!

OH and I went shopping today, picked up jeans, jumpers, make up and a few bits and bobs, also stopped for lunch in the slug and lettuce, although OH has a hangover and is not a pretty sight today!

We are having a chilled evening in and I will clean the house tomorrow, i really will. We're laying low for a while and not going to the pub which will be a nice break for the old liver! Hibernation time for us for the rest of the year i think!

Not much else to report really.

    Happy Birthday Jools, lovely pressies!

Well, I have given the hall 1 coat as far as I can reach but it's not very warm in there so will wait till tomorrow to give it a 2nd coat.

Done the ironing and cleaned the bathrooms. Just having 5 minutes on here before I start getting the dinner ready! Roast Chicken and roast potatoes with veg for tea, we could do with a decent meal!!

Emptied my Teramundi yesterday and it had £429.00 in! Ordered an i-pod (I have an MP3 but I have trouble seeing the screen!) and will treat myself to something else when I see what I want. It has taken me over 2 years to fill with spare £1 coins (there aren't many spare).

Enjoy your Sundays. Take care. XX
