A big thank you to the site!
I successfully reclaimed £99 from Nationwide and £44 from Abbey, all I had to do was send a letter and the cheques were in the post.

Hi Martin
I complained like b****** back in 2003 to the Woolwich about the rip-off redemption charge they made then. Got me nowhere.
Phoned up today and was politely and promptly told thay £120 plus interest will be transfered to our bank account in 2-3 working days. So thanks Martin for publicising this service. It really is as easy as you say it is.
If someone has got the time it would be really interesting to add up the refunds people have received through your efforts and publish it. Must be well over a £100,000 by now.0 -
I just contacted Leeds Building Society today. They had over charged me by £80. All I have to do is write a letter and they will send me the cheque.
Thanks Martin.0 -
Just come off the phone to Natwest and for a 6 minute phone call I have just earned £140 refund with no hassle. just got to wait 10 days for it to arrive in my account. Now hoping for a similar amount from Abbey when they send me a claim form.0

hi, i sold my house in august 2007, so phoned the derbyshire building society today (21/11/07) to check if i'd paid too much for the exit fee, and they said when i took out the mortgage in 1996 they quoted me £70 to exit, they charged me £75 in the summer, so i'm due £5, and i asked for interest, which they're happy to pay. they couldn't have been more helpfull; well done mutuals.0

Hi,
I have just phoned the Halifax and as I had my mortgage more than 10 years they did not charge me a Mortgage Exit Fee so nothing to claim there! I then called the mortgage company Platform who we moved to and they are sending me a cheque for £35 :j
Thanks for the advice Martin :A0
