I completed a VO survey this morning which pushed me over the reward barrier, so have ordered a £10 Boots card. With Boots 3 for 2 deals around Christmas this voucher should come in very handy.

VO have also requested a shopping survey over the next 2 weeks which I've signed up for and that will pay around £15 at the end of it! Just had to download an app to my iPhone and do some surveys when I go shopping.

On 2 other survey sites I'm reasonably close to payout so an added incentive to keep checking them.

Last night I added another 3 items to eBay, and sold 4 items that ended last night. They've been packaged and sent. 1 item is due to finish tonight which has good bids currently on it.

I had enough in PayPal to transfer across to my unexpected income account. Then as soon as I transferred that another 2 buyers paid and it was up to a good amount again! That's also been transferred.

Not a lot else to report. Lunch today is likely to use my daily allowance as the whole department are going out due to one of the engineers who is leaving at the end of August. We only pay for what we have though so I may just order a starter and a drink to keep costs down. The main thing is being there, so splashing out excessive amounts on the food isn't really a compulsory requirement.

I'm also in need of an early night as I've just not been able to get to sleep. It's been way too hot at night recently.

I hope everyone is having a good Tuesday. x

I heard rumours of tired people and caffeine IVs... just thought I'd join the queue. ;)

Muffy, I haven't managed any surveys for ages, maybe I ought to take your success as inspiration? Good planning to be getting money off Christmas already!

    Hi MT :)

It's long overdue, but I'm finally saying hello and subscribing to your diary :D.

Well done on the Boots voucher and the supermarket survey :T.

Know what you mean about not being able to sleep recently. I live in the middle flat of a block of 3 with a house next door, so it's well insulated and feels like an oven during the summer. It's great in the winter though.

Hope you get some more sleep tonight.

    Emz xx

    Hi Miggy,
As I spend so much time at a PC it's easy for me to pop in and out of surveys. Even the ones that take a while can be done in the background.
I can give you details - or recommendation - for the survey sites I use if you're interested?
No coffee today - my head is having serious words with the rest of me about it!!!

    Hi Emma,
Thanks for stopping by. I doubt you've managed to get much sleep since writing that based on how stuffy and hot it is at the moment? I'm currently sitting here with an icepack on my neck to keep me as cool as possible!
I hope you've managed to find ways to recoup the peak for your earnings

As this has been such a tight month and I'm just trying to get through as cheaply as possible I haven't had much MSE stuff to write about. I'm also making a big effort to stop waffling on like I do.

Due to the weather being so warm and dry this weekend I decided on a boot sale this morning. Sunday isn't great for me to be getting up at 4am, but it was worth it as I think we took around £130. Pitch etc has to come from that but a very healthy profit was made. So I've added my share to my sealed pot.

Then the decent bits I put on eBay last week during the free listing weekend have also sold for a great price. One went for almost £80, although the highest bid on that item was at £12 all week! Another item went for £20, although it was stuck at a highest bid of 99p all week, so £100 on two items, before fees, is very welcome. The £80 is cash on collection so that will go into my sealed pot when I get it. I've emailed to organise collection and hopefully it's a legitimate bidder. All looks good so far with their feedback and location.

I'm really hoping this weather cools a little soon, at least in the evenings. I'm exhausted and can't sleep due to the heat. I do have an ice pack though, and have been putting that on the back of my neck to fight a caffeine withdrawal headache and that's really helped keep me cooler too.

Well, I hope everyone has had a great weekend. xx

My £80 eBay item was collected last night, so that's another thing out of my house. I've put the money in my sealed pot so am getting really excited about counting that up at the end of November.

I also did some shopping last night, and went to Asda for a change. I've checked my receipt on their website this morning and have been given a voucher for £2.64 off my next shop. I've never been eligible for a voucher before, so that was a nice surprise.

My shop and scan emails have arrived so that's another 1600 points on my account. I'm still letting those build up.

The last 3 items I had up for sale were paid for last night and posted this morning so I have a blank eBay sellers page again! I'll remedy that at the weekend.

If Saturday is nice I've been asked to help with another boot sale! Most of my apps say it will rain on Sunday and Saturday will be cloudy so I'll have a look around the house tonight to see if I can find anything else to sell in the hope that Saturday is dry enough.

I've been sent lots of surveys recently for MySurvey so I'll have a look and see what I'm eligible for tonight.

The paralympics tickets have been far too elusive for me. That ticketing website is, by far, the worst and least efficient site I've ever had to use. Every time it states there are tickets available it just won't let me have any! It's all been very frustrating and such a shame as I'd have loved to have gone there again. Although as I've already been, hopefully someone who hasn't will have been buying the tickets I've been going for.

I'm so pleased the intense heat has calmed down now to levels conducive to sleep!!!! I managed to get quite a good sleep last night, although I appear to be suffering from hayfever now!

Anyway, I hope everyone is having a good day. x

Is it really Thursday already? Well, yesterday I went onto the Aqua card website and registered for online banking with them. I was also getting a little nervous as I've still not had a bill in and as it's the first from them I didn't want to miss it and find all sorts of issues. But all looks ok. I have the money aside waiting to be taken so all in budget.

I brought in lunch too, so nothing spent there.

My iPhone is now literally falling apart and I don't really know what to do about replacing it. At the moment it's stuck together with sticky tape!!!!! Ahhhh!!! I have searched online for iPhone repair centres to see if it's worth repairing. If it is, I'm also going to look up how much I could get for it second hand and see if it's worth me buying a new one. I don't want to get one includied with a tarriff as you end up paying so much more in the long run. Hmmm - what to do!

I may have some paralympic tickets after all! A friend of mine has 2 sets of tickets and they need to decide which they're going to use and I have first dibs on what they don't take! So fingers crossed!

As it's a bank holiday weekend I'm hoping that eBay will be free listing again! I have a few more larger items I'd like to put up.

Well I hope everyone is having a good week x
