I was up extra early today and cycled, which was very enjoyable. It also means my daily commute cost me £2.90 instead of £11.70!!! The journey home was horrendous through London. I've never seen the roads that tightly jammed. Everything was close to a standstill and I had to get off my bike and walk along the pavement to get to clearer areas of bus lane a few times. I did have an amusing chat with a cheeky chappy in a lorry by the Blackwall Tunnel though which cheered me up.
My lower back is really suffering after sitting in the saddle for that length of time now, but worth it for such a cheap journey.
Work was pretty uneventful today and I have had a low spend day, so that's good. When I got home tonight I cooked a healthy dinner, but wolfed it down fast enough to make my stomach hurt now!!!!
So calories in were scrambled egg on 1 wholemeal toast for breakfast. Lunch was a cheese and onion sandwich, 2 apples and a satsuma. On the ride home I was starving and found a chocolate bar in my bag! I think it's been there a little too long but was still in date and I was ready to eat my own arm at that point!!! Dinner was salmon, new potatoes, onion with sweetcorn, carrots, broccolli and .... mayonnaise! Dessert was a coconut activia yoghurt.
My bike computer calorie reading for the day was 1012, so I'm quite happy all round with today, although I do feel exhausted now.
Nothing added to ebay tonight as I'm struggling with energy levels. I may try to add one or two bits up quickly now..... Hmm!!!!
I hope everyone has had a nice day. Hump day tomorrow! It's flying by. Hopefully we're in for that nicer weather I keep hearing about.

Yesterday was fairly uneventful. Nothing much spent and quite an enjoyable day. My back was sore (wimp), but in the grand scheme of things that wasn't an issue.
I added a few more things to sell on eBay, but I'm finding that I have such a lot of things I want to do in the evenings that it's a struggle finding the time to sit and work out descriptions etc. So I think I need to schedule actual times to be doing that.
I managed an early night too as today is a very full day for me. I'm at work all day (free travel, courtesy of the London Olympics travelcard I received with my tickets for the game tonight) and then I'm meeting C inside Liverpool Street station straight after work to head off to the Park. We also have Orbit tickets so I'm beyond excited about the whole evening.
I found a small camera at home that I haven't yet sold (!)and have nabbed some batteries for it from those lying around at work (not sneakily stolen, I was open about taking them and will replace them) so can hopefully get some great shots of the night.
All I should need to pay for later is food for two. The tickets and travelcard were a lovely and very generous gift from C who is taking me this evening.
Happy Olympic Thursday! xx0 -
Ooo - have lots of fun this evening.

He really is, and was a great indication of my excitement yesterday0 -
Well, last night was absolutely epic! What a great night. I met my friend at the station and we hopped straight onto a pretty empty mainline train heading for Stratford. The sun was shining and very hot, and the park was just minutes away from the station exit.
We had a walk around the park, queued for ages for the water (which was the only thing we queued for all night), but did get chatting to a lovely gent behind us who's been seeing events for a few days, had a trip up the Orbit (absolutely breathtaking and spectacular) and general sightseeing, chatting and screen watching.
The "appreciation meal" I ended up buying C was ......... a McDonalds meal!!!! It had the least queue, and, to be fair, the food choices weren't particularly high class throughout the park! I did offer an ice cream too, but he declined!
So under £9 spent!!!
The event we saw was very high energy and really enjoyable to watch. It was the women's semi final of handball! I really enjoyed it. The entertainment pre game and at half time was also excellent.
All of the Olympic event people were as outstanding as the event. Fantastic personalities for the job they're doing (and as a whole), and they're even more outstanding when you think that the majority (at least) get a non-profit style daily allowance. Also, everyone I had any contact with around the park were very friendly, chatty and cheery.
My feet are still quite painful today after the level of walking required yesterday. Not just in the park, but getting to West Ham station from the park, in a mad rush, and then the added bonus of a 50 minute walk from the station to my house from 11:30pm based on the buses being in a mess on the online timetable!!! Well worth it though!
So, now I want paralympic athletic tickets (don't most people)? I've regsitered on the ticket site so I'll keep a check for any next week. Depending on their price I'll make a decision if and when any come available.
I did see they still have tickets available for the closing ceremony on Sunday! At £1,500 a ticket! They did start at £20, but obviously those tickets have gone and only the absolutely premiere seats are left. Even the £995 tickets were sold out!
I'm out tonight, which should be a free one as I'm not going to be eating, and I doubt I'll be out too long as I need more sleep and my feet won't cope with much walking about today!
Happy Friday everyone! x0 -
What a fantastic day out! So pleased you could go.
I'm loving the smileys.Esp the one for McD's
- we went there while on hols. It wasn't too bad either.
 at the price of the last tickets available, though I suppose it's understandable.
Happy Friday to you too.Miggy

Thanks Miggy. Moaning about my weight and stating that my only expense was for food just made me feel a bit rubbish about the choice being McD's. I've decided I need to say thank you to him, so when I get paid this month I'll try to think of something I can do for him that isn't expensive, but will let him see that I'm grateful he let me experience the Olympic Park and game.0 -
What a great weekend. Friday evening I briefly met my friend J and we went into town. My feet were still suffering so we didn't stay out late, but it was lovely to see him.
Yesterday I was up early and headed off to visit my closest friend and her boyfriend. The day couldn't have been better. They'd prepared an amazing lunch for me, very healthy but very filling too. Then we headed off to the beach with their dog and literally ran around all day. I didn't realise how many times one dog can chase the same ball without getting tired of it?
We got back, had a quick shower and then went off for dinner in a really nice restaurant near them. The food there is lovely and they treated me to dinner which included a dessert and a power up of espresso for my drive home! Great day.
Today I've been quite tired, but did manage to get some food shopping, scan it all and upload that, add 10 items to eBay and now I'm sitting here, updating my diary and watching the closing ceremony on live streaming.I'm so happy I got there for the Olympics and watching it on screen, recognising the stadium and various bits and pieces has made it more exciting for me.
Next week I feel I need to really get motivated again to stop the unnecessary spending and just get back into being organised in general. A little eBay push would be good too. I've managed to make the most of another free listing weekend though so am happy with that. I also have 5 things about to end with bids, which are all wrapped up with a post it note on them so I know what's inside!!!!
Right, that's me done. A little more closing ceremony and then I'll hit record and get off to bed!
I hope everyone's had a great weekend. xx0 -

Thanks for stopping by with those tips. I love smoothies so I will be making a note of the recipe you've given and try that after my next shopping trip.
The perfumes sound an absolute bargain. Thank you. I like the sound of your consultant being able to tell the perfume you're wearing. That's a good skill for a man!
He's a very intelligent man. He doesn't get it right unless I'm wearing L's or Chanel. He doesn't even notice!!! But if he likes it and he thinks 'that's not c' then he does a good guess LOL.
Just caught up with your diary (how many weeks?) all 26 pages of it though some of it I skimmed (boy you write long posts!!!!)
So I'd like to hereby add myAYE
