Hi all
I had a lovely day today. I went to lunch with friends and then made it to my circuits class and most importantly I didn't binge:D (first Monday in 3 weeks when I've felt calm & relaxed).
I ended up going to a lovely farm shop/restaurant for lunch and I managed to only buy a packet of biscuits on my way out. Oh I was so tempted as the food and crafts were amazing.
I got home at 3pm and my cousin popped over for a cup of tea. I made sure that I went to circuits by changing into my workout gear as soon as I got home.
OH gave me money towards some shopping which is why even though I had lunch today and bought biscuits I still have over £50 in my purse.
I still haven't a clue what to buy my friends & family for Xmas - I keep lurking on the Xmas thread but I just find ideas for myself:o. My brother's families are fine as they will get a card & a box of chocolates. It's my nephews, OH & mum I have to think about.
On the spendy front I'm going out to dinner on Friday night (already paid for) and I'm getting my hair cut on Sunday.

Morning all
It is getting a wee bit harder to get out of bed these mornings & I would love to stay in bed. Anyway pay day yesterday:T and I have already sorted out my budget and I have money set aside to go into savings - totally unheard of before.
I have a busy day ahead (like most people) and I'm a wee bit worried for my sister. My sister's ex boyfriend and father of her son is an alcoholic/drug user and she hasn't heard anything from him for just over 2 years. Low and behold a court summons came yesterday demanding access to their son (he had access before but it was supervised visits). He has no interest in their son but it's Xmas and he either wants to play happy families with his new girlfriend or its time to torment my sister. The court case is next week and my sister is due to see her solicitor today. She is on a low income but probably doesn't qualify for legal aid. He hasn't worked in years so does qualify. It's not fair that a Mum who is the sole provider for their son can be dragged through the courts whenever her ex feels like it. We know that he will probably get some form of access as the courts are muppets and he will see his son while he feels like it but then he will disappear again. I know I shouldn't worry so much as its my sisters problem but then she is my sister.
So on the money front -

Hi Greying - Thank you - it does feel good to have a wee tiny bit of savings rather than a big pile of debt:D.
I was out last night at a works do and I spent £16.25 which wasn't so bad for a night out. I also had my hair cut today (£22) and now feel that I need to be going out. OH is working tomorrow so my new hair will have to wait until tomorrow.
Next week shouldn't be too bad as I'm out to lunch on Wed but that is it.

Afternoon all,
I've just had my first mince pie of December:snow_grin. I popped into Sainsbugs for salmon & veg for tea and walked out having spent £26!!!!. I really need to start writing a list and sticking too it.
I went to a bootcamp this morning - I wasn't in the mood beforehand but felt fantastic afterwards. I really need to get started on my Xmas gift buying but I don't have a clue what to get people.

Ay up Munchin - bootcamp  I thought we were doing well with physical labour around the house and yard this morning
Do folks respond to you asking what they want for Chrimbo? Or do they/you like an element of surprise? Your nephews seem to get a lot out of 'experiences' with you. Are there any trips/hols/visits that they could be taken on as a gift?

Hi Greying - my bootcamp is about once every 6 weeks but you are out doing loads of physical things constantly which is much better.
My OH keeps saying that he can't think of Xmas so far in advance!!- so I don't have a clue:o. Nephew no 1 is now sorted - he wants a football top so going halves with my Mum (and buying it via Top cashback). Nephew no 2 wants everything in the toy shop:D. I suppose it is what to get OH which is frying my head.
Presents
OH -
Mum -
Uncle - jumper of some description
Nephew no 1 - football top - sorted:)
Nephew no 2 -
+ 3 tins of sweets/biscuits & 3 bottles of wine for my brothers.
