    Evening all

    I manged to spray the weedkiller and powerhose the yard but the hedge is sitting waiting patiently. I must admit I'm a bit stiff to be honest but at least those jobs are done.

    Tomorrow I want to -
    • cut the hedge;
    • clean my kitchen;
    • wash out the bathroom;
    • hoover the hall;
    • mini pile of ironing;
    • put feet up and enjoy the weekend.

    Confession time -At times I seriously wonder where my head is. I want to change my kitchen as it is ancient & the doors have come of their hinges 1 too many times. I was seriously contemplating going to Homebase and using their 0% for 1 year deal but I have caught myself on and there will be no major purchases until I am debt free next year. Confessing on here so that I can remind myself not to be an idiot:o.

    So 15 days to pay day & 172 days (5 months) to Debt free date.

    I've still got a few wee things which I will do tomorrow. I'm at OHs house and today we are taking the wallpaper of the wall
    :(. I lead such a glam life:D,

    I've downloaded a savings app. I have all these brilliant plans for when I'm debt free but the debt is in my way - it needs to be gone:)

    I am putting some money away already, I know I should pay debts off first but I'm throwing a fair bit of my wages at them already. I'm on target so far to cover my trip to Italy in Oct, my trip to Glasgow in Sept, £400 for Xmas (way more than I need but that's my target), pay my rates in May in bulk for the first time ever:D and my car insurance in April. This means that I won't have to pay the car insurance & rates by direct debit throughout the year.

    Savings budget -

    Rates - £66.67
    Car - £56.25
    Italy - £33.33
    Xmas - £20
    Glasgow 0 £66.67

    Total - £242.92

    I'm hoping that once I have my car loan and credit card paid off which should be the end of this year start of next I can save towards a new kitchen and a emergency pot fund.

    Morning all

    I forgot to say that the savings budget is what I need to pay monthly to achieve my targets.

    Well managed to strip most of the wallpaper but honestly I think the previous owners put it on with superglue. OH spent ages finding an easier way to do it while I just carried on. Guess which one of us got more of the wall and didn't stress out about it:D

    We popped up to pub for a wee glass of wine as a reward. I'm seriously contemplating not drinking anymore. A glass of wine I'm giggly and I feel tired this morning. I just can't drink anymore. I think I will steer clear of alcohol until I visit my friend in Sept. After than I'll see how I go.

    So plans today are still the same as yesterdays -
    • hoover the hall
    • ironing
    • tidy bedroom
    • check flights for Glasgow.
    • relax and enjoy weekend:D
    It's time to get dressed and pick up my Mum for church. Only spends today should be the papers.

    Evening everyone,

    I slept so well last night and I needed it:). I've been out late this week (helping out a charity night and babysitting) so last night I went to a pilates class and then the OH had a lovely bath ready for me on my return and once the Pilates buzz had worn off then it was bedtime.

    I've got a man coming out tomorrow to have a look at the house to see what type of insulation we need and what grants they can offer:D. I think we need cavity wall insulation as well as extra insulation in the loft. Hopefully we can get a reasonable grant so that I don't have to bust the bank and it should cut down on our heating bills this winter.

    Tomorrow is Friday :j. It is so quiet in work that the days are just dragging in.

    Plans this weekend is to strip the rest of the wallpaper and try and go to another Pilates class.

    Morning all,

    It's the weekend:j. I'm on my morning coffee and it's a gorgeous day.

    Going to my Pilates class at 11 and that should set me up for the rest of the day. I didn't think I would make it as I was so stiff and sore from the first class on wed. I thought I was fit but I guess not:o

    After that it's an exciting morning of wallpaper stripping. OH is working tomorrow so I have the day to myself and will spend it a home.

    The energy efficiency guy was out yesterday with my Mum he was very friendly and said that he would be in touch but Mum didn't ask him any questions so no idea what he can offer. I'm expecting another guy out so I better be there to find out some information:)

    I've looked at my Tesco credit card this morning and it has crept up which you all know but I have 6 months to try and get it down before the interest kicks in so that is the plan.

    I have 6 days until pay day and I have £0 in my account but I have £24 in my purse so it is going to be a tight squeeze but I've done it before. I can't wait until I'm debt free. I know there are people in worse situations and it's been bad before but it would be nice to keep my money and not give it to the banks.

    Have a lovely day everyone:D

    Ok - I have set myself a challenge from payday on Friday. I have to live on £45 per week which should cover
    • 2 pilates classes - £8
    • groceries - £20
    • swimming with nephews - £8
    • odds -£9
    I'm not counting diesel (as that would wipe out the £45 in one go) or my physio appointment which should be £33 per month.

    I know I could give up pilates but I've just started it and enjoyed it. I could also give up swimming with nephews but that is my quality time with them. At the end of August I'm taking my mum and nephews away but I'll see how long and far I get on £45 and it should help towards credit card debt.

    This weeks challenge is £24 as that is all I have left:o (without touching my savings.

    Hi all

    Oh dear slept in this morning which means I missed mass which means I should expect my Mum to be huffing with me for at least a couple of hours:o. It doesn't matter how old you get your Mum knows how to make you feel like a child:D.

    Well spends yesterday £4 on pilates and I loved it. OH wants me to get him some gaviscon (he's working today and shops will be shut when he gets home.) Normally I would pay for it but as I only have £20 left I'm going to raid his loose change jar.

    I have no other plans today. I need to go face the wrath of the Catholic mother. Do you know it's over 10 months since I stopped my ED:D:D. I still have the little urges to diet and not listen to my body and now and again I have mini binges but it's getting easier and I feel so much better for it.

    Hi all

    It's a day of reading diaries for me, watching F1 and reading the papers. Mum isn't huffing as she wants me to help my Uncle lift bales this evening (I'm secretly hoping for rain:))

    So I've found the Xmas thread and the preparing for winter thread. There are 155 days to Xmas (I know it's too early for some of you but I just love it:D). I've also found the 'Giving up 100 days thread" but that challenge has just finished.

    However it has all given me ideas - on the preparing for winter I'm waiting to hear from the insulation guys to see what they can offer and I need a pile of logs but OH says that if I help him chop some trees then I can get them that way.

    So the plan is that for 155 days until Xmas I aim to have no unnecessary spends. This means -
    • no papers;
    • no magazines (except free) or books unless free kindle
    • only buying comestics & beauty products when I run out
    • no buying things just because they are in the sale
    • only buy clothes if a necessity not because I fancy it

    As I've said before I love plans it's just the sticking to them that I have a problem with.:o

    Oh forgot to say I actually have £21.65 in my purse for the week and from that I have to pay for -

    • £4 pilates (wed)
    • £6 on scones for meeting (no hospitality budget for this one)
    Not sure what else but i'll do my best:D and today has been an NSD

    Evening everyone,

    Tomorrow is hump day:j. Mon & Tues have both been NSDs which I'm really pleased about.

    I got a letter in the post today which I thought was one of those banks sending me blank cheques to encourage you to sign up with them but it wasn't it was a proper £50 cheque:j. When I took out my car insurance policy there was an offer that if I stuck with them for 3 months they would give me £50. If I was good I would put it all to the credit card but I'm going to be semi good and put £30 towards the card.

    So tomorrow I'm paying £4 towards pilates but that should be the only spend.

    I'm going to put an appointment on with my doctor as my stomach feels like it is full of wind and painful and this is happening on a regular basis it's probably nothing but I just can't pin down why it is happening.
