Morning all
It's pay day :j
So the budget for April will be -
Odds - £10
Entertainment - £50
Groceries - £60
Presents £30
Gym - £40 (soon to go down to £19)
In April, I have my first car insurance payment to make and I'm going away to a hotel for OHs birthday but these payments are sitting ready to be spent so I don't have to factor them in to this budget. It is also my Mum's birthday so that is where my present budget will go.
Thankfully I think there are only 4 weekends in April and hopefully I will have more money left at end of month rather than days.
Ok it's time to head to work. Have a gorgeous sunny day everyone.

Morning all
Oh I would have loved to have been the american who has just won squillions in their lottery:D
Oh made tea last night and it was lovely. I'm due to go to a charity quiz tonight but as OH is working tomorrow he's not up for it. He finishes his shifts on Tues for 3 whole weeks (lucky sod).
No real craic in Meersy world. Work is a bit stressful but that will pass.
Hopefully I will have something interesting to update with tomorrow:)

Morning all
Quiz last night was great and a fair bit of cheating went on. I spent £10 on raffle tickets but that was just to give money to the charity (honest) and it was a family thing. I won 2 prizes but I gave my wee cousin my first ticket and she got an easter egg and then I won again so I got a bottle of wine.
I'm in the middle of downloading a monthly spends spreadsheet so today will be fun doing the budgets. I'm also going to keep a track of all the things that I want but don't want to spend the money on as it could go towards savings and debts. Hopefully by writing my spendy urges on here it will stop me buying things and if it doesn't at least I will try and get things cheaper.
Spendy urges
- freya daphne bra and briefs - £50ish
- white jeans or linen trousers - £30ish
new summer/spring jacket - £?
new sandals/wedges - £?
My old white linen trousers were from topshop about 8 years ago and they were amazing but now they are threadbare and have a hole in them:o but I keep wearing them as I love them. The freya bra is purely impulse as they fit perfectly. I would like a new summer jacket but I have a coat that needs the buttons put back on and I had to get rid of all my high heeled sandals as I have a dodgy knee but would like some new comfy ones for this year.
..........
Back again - I've decided to kill my cash back credit card as although at the end of year I get cashback I'm using it more and more for junk and odds and sods that I don't need so really I'm out more money than I'm getting back. So from now on it's debit card all the way.
Sunday mornings are great for resolutions but it's the rest of the week that is the challenge in sticking to them.

Evening MSE world:)
Sitting here with a small glass of wine and ready to put feet up. Well today I cut up my cash back card - I knew that if I just put it away it would find it's pesky way back into my purse. Ok that means that things are going to be very tight this month as I rely on it for my diesel and I now have to cover diesel from my debit card.
I also had a declutter and found some sandals that will do for this year and means I can stop trying to give myself an excuse to buy more. I have dug out my old linen trousers but at the moment I don't have the heart to try them on as I'm a dress size larger than i was last year. I also have 2 pairs of trousers that needed to be turned up and a summer coat that will do the job but just needs the buttons sewed back on again.
I was very good this evening and did my ironing, made my lunch and then packed my kit bag for the gym tomorrow. However I just realised that i am going out for lunch tomorrow with old colleagues. It's only a cheese sarnie and it should keep to Tues but I probably won't fancy it then. Only 4 days in work this week and 1.5 of those will be out and about away from colleagues:T
This has to be a very frugal month as I don't have any 'spare' money
PS - fell for 1 April fool prank but was ready for the other:)0 -
Morning all
Bit of a panic this morning - the road service are tarmacing our road at the minute and they have pulled up at the end of my lane. I've got a meeting this morning so am going in a bit later but don't want to drive through their work. I've another 1hr before I leave and hopefully they will move on by then.
So another exciting day in the funny farm and my tummy is playing up:o.
I'm going to have a lovely bath and pamper before I go to work. I'm always in such a rush so it's nice to have a pooter.
I keep looking at my budgets and the problem is that I have to pay off my cash back card and also pay for my fuel out of my normal budget so this month I'm paying twice for fuel if you know what I mean. It's also my Mums and OHs birthdays in April and we're having a big Easter dinner this weekend so I need to contribute towards that. I have a jar of £1 coins with £37 that I might have to use just to get through this month.
I tried on my trousers from last year and the buttons are waving at each other from about 1inch apart. I can't diet but according to all the books and manuals and counsellor I will eventually settle at a set point weight but at the minute it feels like my set point is puddingish. I will get there and I've come a long way and I'll just have to buy a bigger size.:D
Todays plans, work, work work but0 -
Hi all
I've just signed up to First Direct and hopefully I should get £100 for signing up at some point.
I have only 1 more day to go before I am on leave. I've exhausted and tired from work at the minute and it doesn't help that I still have problems with OH. I just want to sleep:o0 -

I'm on my Easter hollybobs:EasterBun
Yesterday was a shocking day. I had set up a presentation for 30 staff from other offices and had to be there early to set up. It went well but ran over time and I had to be in another location by 2 which was 15 miles away. I turned up 5 mins late which was fine but had no lunch. So i snaffled a mini twix and a coffee and had to sit there for 3 hours being a starving marvin.:)
However it all ended well and I got everything typed up and away so that I can take today off without worrying that I've forgotten to do something.
Money front I had to hand £10 of hard earned cash to charity last night. Mum and I share the donation and then I also gave my Mum £20 for contribution to Easter lunch on sunday. I also have the basic ingredients to make a banoffi pie (I might have opened the tin of caramel last night but only took 2 large:o spoonfuls).
On money front I have another £50 of travel expenses I need to claim so that should cover me for another weeks fuel.
I'm waiting for my forms from first direct to switch bank accounts. My car insurance hasn't turned up yet and although I agreed in principle I still need to see the documents and my insurance runs out tomorrow. The car insurance company did this last year and its very annoying.
On my spendy urge front -
Spendy urges
[STRIKE]freya daphne bra and briefs - £50ish[/STRIKE] - urge is long gone
[STRIKE]white jeans or linen trousers - £30ish[/STRIKE] - need new linen trousers as old ones done and don't fit:o
[STRIKE]new summer/spring jacket - [/STRIKE] - old one now in for repairs
[STRIKE]new sandals/wedges -[/STRIKE] - not needed
I'm being really good on money front and trying not to spend money but I'm actually having shopping withdrawal symptons. I do have to hit the shops today but only to buy cream and chocolate for bannofi pie and then some flowers for my dads grave. If I can limit myself to this one wee trip I shouldn't go too far over budget.
Have a great day everyone and happy Easter :icotbaske0 -

Morning all
the random smilie above eating chocolate was for the benefit of my 5 year old nephew:)
Well budget was blown this week I spent £84.54 in total when I was only aiming for £30:o. I didn't have any mad spending urges but my small shop yesterday came to £14.99 which included flowers for the grave and I made the mistake of bringing Mum & nephew with me so more was added to basket. OH asked me to do a shop for him which I'm not sure if I will get money for as he pays for so much with me.
Tomorrow is another day (if I can just stay away from shops today:o).
My nephew and I made a bannofi pie and some chocolate eclairs. The eclairs were gorgeous (if I do say so myself), haven't sampled the bannofi yet as it's for tomorrow.
Feeling less tired and stressed and hopefully I will catch up on all my sleep by the time I go back to work.
Plans for today - painting living room - fun fun fun and looking for holidays.
Have a good day everyone.

Hi all
Not doing so great today:(. I can't get my binging under control and feel v v fat and horrible. I knew recovery would be tough but I had hoped that 7 months into recovery things would be getting easier. I know that it's my time of the month and maybe that is why I feel so carp but have ate my weight in chocolate and feel pants.:o
I know that i've put on weight but all the books said that I would probably put on weight but it would eventually plateau. It doesn't feel like this is happening.
i'm going away this weekend with OH and am stressing about wearing a swimsuit and things. I think tomorrow as I'm at OHs house I should be able to get the munching under control and I'll feel better but today I just want to vent on here
Money situation is grand. I'm still not a millionaire but things are getting better on that side.
Ok deep breath and hopefully the fug will lift and I'll be me again.
