    Morning all

I have just survived 2 very busy manic days and I need to work on the "saying no" policy a bit more :o.

I'm on leave today & have an AGM to go to which I wish I had said no to. I have to drive up to Belfast for an hour but it will be the last 1 I go to.

Going to wedding on Friday & sister is popping over this evening to do my tan. Beauticians tmw for some pampering.

I'm going to the gym in a bit so better get motivated & moving:D

    Morning all,

Good news - I finally managed to say No & am no longer involved in myrunning club committee :). A wee part of me is sad to leave but a bigger part is delighted.

Spendy day yesterday but a good day. I had lunch with one of my teams and managed to catch up on most of my work. I went to the beauticians for a spot of pampering & have wedding outfit hanging up & ready to wear. I'm looking forward to friends wedding in a few hours :).

No other plans this weekend apart from buying cards & pressies.

    Hi all,

Wedding on Friday was fantastic, it was great to see friends and family and we danced all night. Head & feet were both a bit tender yesterday :o.

Yesterday I spent £30.10 which was for groceries & coal. Today is an NSD :). I felt a bit sluggish today so I took the pup out for a run round the forest & managed 2.5 miles :).

Busy week ahead with night work and I have to pay £63 towards staff Xmas dinners. I'm also picking up ice cream & flowers in work which I pay for & then get the money back.

I've been thinking about what to get sisters for xmas & I've decided to buy them a small box of chocs & give them money. I will be in Belfast on thurs so I will get my uncle his annual jumper.

    Christmas presents :xmassmile

    Morning all

Yesterday was such a manic day but I managed it and have just finished night shift.

I also grabbed my first NSD of December :). I'm buying breakfast this morning in work after my shift but I claim it back so hopefully that counts as another NSD today.

I see Guns & Roses are comin to Ireland & will text my friends to see if they are hoping to get tickets. I was a mad fan 20 years ago and I'd like to see them but not too disappointed if I don't.

Time to embrace another manic day

Take me with you if you get tickets

I will be very very jealous if you go.

    Hi INOD & HR

Didn't get G & R tickets:(- talked to friends & decided standing in mucky fielded with a 10 mile walk was not for us.... still hoping they will come to dublin.

I stayed over in Belfast last night & am trying to get OH up for breakfast but there is no budging him :). Avoided rush hour (cheers INOD) & went to xmas market & then down to Victoria centre and watched carrolers. Dinner in 'Frankie & Bennies' & then to the Ulster Hall for their annual Xmas concert. Bliss

After breakfast we will head home & meet up with sisters for afternoon tea. It's a hard life but someone's got to do it :rotfl:.

Money front - I'm still ok - OH paid for hotel & dinner as a birthday treat & I got concert tickets. I've joined the 'clear debt in 2017' for a bit of motivation.

OH is up so time to raid the buffet:)

    Hi all

Well it's been mad busy these last few days but all is good in Munchin land :). I've not really slept these last 3 days and thanks to the torrential storm outside my window I've been awake from 6am this morning which is kind of normal for me but I didn't get to bed until 1am. I've been doing a bit of thinking for the year ahead and have written down a few wee ideas/aims/goals...I'm ahead of the 2017 crew :). Sorry if this post is a bit long but I have plans I need to put down somewhere so that when I break them I can look back and tut at myself :p.

I think like everyone at this time of the year which my sis in law calls "old years end" rather than New Year it seems to be a natural point for reassessing priorities and the year ahead. I know it's Xmas Eve which I love :snow_laug but I've been naturally plotting and planning. My old counsellor said to me that I need to live more in the moment than constantly thinking of "what is next" if you know what I mean but there is no harm of sorting out budgets and goals right now.

I'm in a pretty good this place this year and I've almost kicked EDs butt but he creeps back when I'm stressed and not looking after myself. I've pulled out my wee purple booklet this morning (ED notes to recovery) and I just carry on as normal - 6 small meals a day. I had a wee wobble last month as I tried to follow my personal trainers dietary advice but thankfully it was only a little wobble and I saw sense and went back to my purple book.

Money front - well 2017 is going to be a very spendy year even though I'm committing to a Spending fast...makes sense to me:o. I have my brother's 40th and my entire family are staying in a nice hotel for 1 night in March. My sister's second baby is due in July and that will include a flight and accommodation in July/August + present and spending money. My sis is also home in Feb and would like to go to a nice hotel and have a girly weekend as in her words she will be "fat, hormonal & pregnant" and deserves it :D. My OH turns the big 50 in April and he wants to go for a weekend break somewhere as his present. My nephew is sweet 16 but not until Oct. Finally, OH has turned all slushy and romantic on me and wants to get married in 2018!!!!!!! Now we've been together over 9 years and at the start I was all for marriage and he wasn't and now the tables have turned and I'm not against it but as we both 'kick with different feet' (different faiths - wee issues still in my family in N Ireland) then we need to really think about it and not just get married because we've been together so long. There is always more to it than I'm putting on here but it will work out whatever happens but I need to get saving....just in case :).

So as well as spending all that money I'm also aiming for a Spending fast - no frivolous spending. This seems to be my biggest issue as I know that I can afford it so I justify it but this has to stop.

Alcohol - I don't thankfully drink a lot (history of alcoholism in family) but I'm going to stop drinking from New Year's day for a year. I was going to say a month but lets go big and say a year. I was at my friends wedding and I had a few wines. I danced and had a ball. I woke up the next day feeling "the fear". You know when you're paranoid even though you know you didn't do anything but dance and be happy. I don't want that anymore so that is the plan.

Xmas - I love Xmas - today I'm popping out to shops with my Mum to get the turkey (brother has paid) and all the veggies, cream and maybe more sweeties :). Tomorrow will be at Mums and with Uncle, sister, nephews and my brother and his family. It will be a happy madness. Boxing day will be more reserved at OHs families house but it will still be fun.

Next post will have the money I have to save this year to pay for a year of hopefully fun and enjoyment with family and friends :D.

Have a wonderful Xmas to everyone :santa2:
