Thanks Seasidegal - hope you have a lovely New Year as well.
It is a night in - OH isn't the best but I can celebrate for both of us0 -
Morning all
Positive start to New Year with no spends and it's been very relaxing. I was supposed to start back at gym this morning but my trainer texted to say it wouldn't open until tomorrow....can't say I'm disappointed:o. Instead I'm meeting my sister for a jog round the forest and no doubt she will float along the ground like a fairy and I will sound like a baby elephant.
OH & I are heading to a nice hotel for a few days tomorrow - we got vouchers last year but never used them so the voucher covers b& b both nights + 1 evening meal so we will have to cover lunch and an evening meal but it's a nice start to the New Year.
I guess I better get some water and go find my sister0 -

Morning all,
I'm back from my mini break - it was so lovely and the positives were that they had a swimming pool, spa and great entertainment.
We went hiking up the Mournes ...still so unfit and looked at engagment rings. No ring purchased but he now knows the type I want. It's hard to believe that I was fed up with this relationship last year and thanks to his redundancy (not hating work anymore) we are getting on brilliantly and are actually wanting to make it all official. I know we both want a quiet wedding itself but I still want a party afterwards.
Money front - I really do need to start putting money into this wedding fund - at the moment I have £125 in there and that would not get you more than a sausage roll at a night do. No more wedding talk until the ring appears.
I've managed to avoid the sales which is near impossible with TV, internet and emails. I still don't need anything but I would love lots of things.
I start back to work tonight and because I swapped some shifts last week to get my leave I'm working 5 days this week + 3 night shifts. The money will be good but I could see it far enough right now.
Anyhow time to pick up my Mum and head to mass0 -
Morning all
I've been tired & busy and have not updated my diary. Tonight is my last night shift until the end of January. I've swapped some shifts so I've done a few nights in a row which is fine but I struggle trying to get organised especially when I'm going to gym in morning.
Money front - doing well as I've avoided the shops but I fall down on grocery spends. I got word yesterday that I should finally get my promotion:). I love my job but I couldn't turn down this opportunity but it is still very much up in the air.
My gym guy has texted to reschedule to tomorrow which gives me a bit longer in bed & to get organised. I have best of intentions but on days like today I'd rather stay in bed:o0 -
Hi all
I have got my promotion ....well almost .....I got an email yesterday to say that they have reached my position and were offering me a start in a new Department on 27th Feb. However they didn't tell me where in the new Dept and the 27th Feb is open to negotiation but I should find out this week the full details. It is a £6000 pay increase - wow - but it is back to commuting however they will pay me excess fares for 3 years and I can get the train most of the journey so it's pretty amazing. Really sad to leave where I am but at the same time I'm leaving on a high with a lot of respect....well so I've been told:o. Once I got over the shock of leaving my Dept I'm quite excited.
Money front - ok I've been pretty good so far and have only veered into wants a few times but now I'm going to have to go through my wardrobe and dump the stuff that is taking up space that I never wear and will never slim into and try and add a few new fresh things to brighten it up for this new job.
OH brother is poorly which is the only down thing at the moment and after I go to yoga this morning we are heading up to the hospital to visit him.0 -

Fantastic news on the promotion! :T. Lovely pay rise as well!
Good idea on the de- cluttering of clothes as well! I still have smaller size clothes under the bed waiting for the new svelte me! I am now adamant that if nothing changes by the end of this year weight wise, they will go!
And I do hope your brother is recoveringFinally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
