Morning all,
Such a busy day ahead but it seems to be an annual thing now where I end up with one day with 2 Xmas dinners.
I've been pretty good on the spendy front this past month and although I'm keeping track things could have been a lot worse. I still haven't bought much for Xmas which is probably why my spends are ok for December. I get paid on Monday but I really don't like touching that money until Jan.
My sister is home for a week with my niece and we went to a lovely restaurant yesterday for lunch and tomorrow we're heading to my brother which will involve more food:). I have 3 Xmas dinners this week and my problem is trying to find something to wear for each of the dinners.
Things have been a bit hectic which is why I haven't posted much but things will settle down once the man in the big red suit appears:D.

Morning
Like most people I'm only in work today and tomorrow:D. All my Xmas shopping is done and I have Thurs off so I can wrap, tidy the house and prepare for Xmas. We have my brother and his brood of children this year which will be manic.
Money front has been grand - money spent on Xmas was saved up for during the year. I made a bigger payment to my credit card £450 which means I'm down to £1750. I know this is high but it's on its way down and I'm now in the £1000 figure rather than £2000:D.
I'm treating myself to a manicure today and that is me ready for Xmas. I haven't bought myself anything new as I have clothes which only get out of the wardrobe now and again.
I have booked a holiday in April and my flight was a reasonable 3pm in the afternoon and now it is a ridiculous 6.30am. I'm going to email Aer Lingus today as I paid a bit extra for the later flight and I shouldn't have bothered.

Morning all,
The police have been sitting at the end of my lane since about 7 last night. The road is closed because of a bad accident and I hope that whoever is involved will be ok.
My neighbours and I were out last night and we saw the space shuttle going over:D. Normally I miss comets etc so was delighted to see it going past.
Work should be ok today - the staff get home early and I get to cover the calls until 4 but I don't think it will all that taxing.
My resolution for 2016 is to say No more and I'm trying to simplify my life. So this morning I signed up to 'Unroll.me' which is an app that finds all the subscriptions you are signed up to and then lets you decide whether to keep or junk them and also to view them when you want. I had subscribed to over 140 emails which is mad as I didn't realise how many there were.
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all
I should be rushing round like a mad thing as it is Xmas Eve but I'm sitting with tea and watching 'Bedknobs and Broomsticks':). I have an appointment at 10.30 so I'm sort of limited on when I can start the rush.
Plans today -
- weed Dad's grave
- tidy house (bathroom, kitchen, living room, hall)
- wrap presents
- take dog for a walk.
- Help Mum prepare for Xmas tomorrow:santa2:
I believe 2 young guys were in the accident on my road and both are serious but alive - thank goodness.0 -
Afternoon all,
Xmas has been and gone and today is my last day of relaxation before I head back to work. I went for a run this morning and then popped to Mr Ts to do the shop for the week ahead.
I've been skipping around frugal threads and thinking about aims for 2016 regarding money. I want to be debt free and have savings -
Debts
- Debt £1750 - to clear by May 2016 (5 months)
- £1 a day - aim £365
- Christmas - aim £1200
- Emergency fund - aim £2650 by Dec 2016 & £6000 by Dec 2017
- Car fund - aim £600 by Dec 2016 & £3000 by Dec 2017
- 20 NSDs per month.

Morning all,
According to the news there are a few trees down near me but thankfully no flooding.
I'm hoping for an NSD today which will take me over my target. I've so far managed not to touch my Jan salary which I was paid on 21st Dec which I'm quite chuffed about.
Not a lot of plans today apart from work and avoiding the shops.

Hi all
Happy New Year. I spent today at my brothers and it was such a lovely day and peaceful start to the New Year. I also squeezed in a wee run this morning and met so many people out walking and jogging.
I took the head staggers and cleared out my emergency fund to pay off more of my credit card. Ok there wasn't loads in the savings but I just thought it was probably better paying towards the debt and letting me clear it a month earlier than sitting in a savings account doing very little. I have savings in my credit union account if I really need money.
I'm looking forward to when my debt is gone because then I wont be wishing the month away to get more money to make a payment...it's a bit addictive.
Tomorrow is going to be a bit spendy but I'm determined to get my 20 NSDs this month so will try to keep the spends to a minimum. I'm going to the cinema with nephew and niece to see Star Wars - sweets will be snuck in from £1 shop:o.
Plans tomorrow -
- 4 mile run
- cinema
- ironing and tidying up.
