    Morning all,

Yesterday I visited a nutrionist and I thought she was very helpful. She has asked that I get a blood test done by my doctor which I will arrange this morning. I am then to follow her advice and see her in 2 weeks. Thankfully this isn't going to be a long term thing. I'm grateful for the advice etc but it is quite expensive this recovery process:o. I'm also seeing my therapist tonight so hopefully by the end of this I will be healthy and happy:D.

I have all the budgets sorted for Sept and I have managed to put a wee bit into savings and pay off some of the credit card. I've had to order an ink cartridge this morning so that cost £14.25.

    Weekly spend - w/c 31st August.

    Mon - £6.19 (dog collar & lead)
    Tues -£14.25 (ink cartridge) + £8.99 groceries

    Total = £29.43

    Hi all

Yesterday didn't work out quite as planned. I made the appointment with the health centre for a blood test but when I got there the nurse said that I should have made the appt with a doctor first (which is what I had tried to do) so I have another appointment next Wed.

I saw my therapist on Tues night and I have to admit it was incredibly intense. I finally told her that the current greatest stressor in my life is my relationship with my partner. We talked about it and she said that from the start she knew my strongest issue was the relationship with my partner. As we discussed how I felt I admitted that I think I want to break up with him. At times 95% of me wants to break up with him however there is that other 5% that doesn't want to throw away 8 years of a relationship. I keep hoping it will get better but at the moment I'm relieved when I'm away from him so that doesn't really sound good:(.

    Weekly spend - w/c 31st August.

    Mon - £6.19 (dog collar & lead)
    Tues -£14.25 (ink cartridge) + £8.99 groceries
    Wed - NSD (1)

    Total = £29.43

Not many plans today - it's a bit miserable outside so I guess I wil tidy up inside.

    Evening all,

Today has been exhausting but it's almost over:).

My computer died and then came back to life minus most of my apps ...goodbye YNAB. After fighting with the computer I now have my budgets back but have lost loads of stuff but they are not important.

I'm not going to go into specifics but I told OH how I felt today and said that I thought we were only together as we were familiar with each other etc and that I wasn't happy. I used up a mountain of tissues:o. We are still together but we didn't really resolve anything. I think the therapy is working as I would suppress my feelings with chocolate but I got them out there. I also told my Mum about my ED and she said that she wished I had told them and they could have helped which is nice but its the nature of the illness that you are ashamed to tell anyone. So massive pressure lifted of shoulders in one very emotional day.

I also have set myself a mad challenge - I'm going to clear my credit card in Feb 2015:D

    Weekly spend - w/c 31st August.

    Mon - £6.19 (dog collar & lead)
    Tues -£14.25 (ink cartridge) + £8.99 groceries
    Wed - NSD (1)
    Thurs - NSD (2)
    Fri - £16 dog + £9 wine & some groceries

    Total = £54.43

    Morning world,

I still feel a bit wrung out after my emotional day yesterday but I feel lighter already. I suppose things build and build until they have to come out and therapy has helped.

Even though I spoke to OH yesterday because of his depression I know he didn't take in half of what I said but at least I said it.

So I don't have tons of plans today. OH is working so I have the day to myself. I'm taking my nephew to a birthday party and that is the highlight of my day:D.
  • You should maybe think about giving yourself some kind of treat maybe a manicure or something. You're bound to feel a bit raw and could do with some care.

Thanks INOD - good idea but at the moment I just want to sleep, maybe next week.

ED front - I had a nice bath this morning and I didn't realise that while I was trying to relax my Mum was doing battle with the pup at the clothes line...pup was winning:). Mum came into the house and said to me after my bath.."You left me the pup and he was away with my washing and you were sitting on your fat...........bath". I know she would have said "fat a*s" and there would have been no harm meant but she caught herself on ..... Ive never had a fat bath before :rotfl:.

I think I have selective deafness regarding birthday parties. My nephews invite said 2pm - 5pm and I had him down at the house for 1.55 and I thought it strange the mother was standing on the kerb looking stressed. I was supposed to have him at the house for 1.40 and they were heading to the party venue for 2 :o - the same thing happened to me last year but I honestly don't remember being told 1.40. I have to remember that really it's embarrassing but I didn't mean to do it and it's not the end of the world.

On happier note, I took my Mum to Asda this morning and left nephew in charge of house and pup. I came home and nephew was all pleased as he had washed the pup for me, the poor dog looked like a drowned rat but didn't seem to be any worse for his experience.

I thought today was an NSD and then I remembered I had given Mum money for the coal man and I really couldn't ask for it back.

    Weekly spend - w/c 31st August.

    Mon - £6.19 (dog collar & lead)
    Tues -£14.25 (ink cartridge) + £8.99 groceries
    Wed - NSD (1)

    Fri - £16 dog + £9 wine & some groceries
    Sat - £15 coal.

    Total = £69.43

    Hi all

Its the start of Sept and I think it's time I put up my winter checklist (borrowed from another thread a few years ago:o)

    Winter Checklist

    Clothes
    • Wash all coats, scarves gloves
    • Repair or buy new socks - visit to Primark
    • Check Wellingtons - use Mum's
    • Polish all shoes and boots
    • Go back through clothing checking what I need and what I need to replace. Think - what will I wear - what do I need?
    • Put away all your summer clothes in either those vacuum bags or in a suitcase for the following year.
    Car

    • Buy in screenwash now - not needed have a bottle
    • Find ice scraper - found in my winter box
    • Torch and batteries - bought small one for handbag and OH gave me a big torch for car and I just need batteries.
    • Gloves hat and scarf
    • October make sure all fluid levels in cars are correct
    • Check tyre pressures and tread levels
    • Clean car inside and out making sure car has good amount of wax which protect it from harsh elements and salt and grit on the roads which will cause rust.- inside done but still to do outside.
    • If possible clean out your garage and put your car away each night - not possible as Uncle using garage for storage.
    Food
    • Stock up on tinned products such as soup, rice pudding, baked beans and spaghetti. These items will keep as good store cupboard standbys.
    • Check and clean out your freezer, make a list of what you have and what you need to buy in. Keep at least two loaves of bread in the freezer. A clean frost free freezer will work better than a ice capped one! - done
    • If anything crops up on BOGOF and it will keep/freeze for winter buy it and store it.
    • Create a 'stash cupboard' or area where you can put all of your extra buys away safely.
    • Batch make homemade soups and freeze. Good idea to do this now while fresh veg is plentiful and it will save on condensation during the cooking/prep during the winter months.
    House and garden

    • Buy in your logs and coal now while cheap deals are on offer - work in progress
    • Clean your home - work in progress
    • Make door curtains to keep out draughts - 2 doors to do.
    • [STRIKE]Clean windows inside and out[/STRIKE] - done, 7th Sept
    • Buy in cheap white candles in case of a power cut. Also keep a torch on standby and use in emergency. - done
    • [STRIKE]If you have oil try to make sure that your tank is stocked up by the end of October[/STRIKE] - Ordered 1500 litres on 7th Sept delivered 1268 litres on 10th Sept - £411.93
    • [STRIKE]Buy in Flannelette sheets[/STRIKE].- done and they are lovely.
    • Cut back everything in the garden late October to give your garden a big boost the following Spring. Roses love this! - Hedge cut & lane trimmed 9th Sept
    • Clean Your carpets on a good warm day so that they have a good chance of drying quickly
    • Drain any outside taps and protect and cover either with an old towel and then covered over with plastic or buy a proper outside tap cover.
    • Re-silicone shower areas where the silicone has turned black or mouldy, take it out and redo it. Easy job but so often overlooked. Having the window open also allows the silicone to cure or go off better.
    • Check lightbulbs and outside security lighting if broken replace or repair - done
    • Buy in batteries now.
    • Put food out for the birds they will so thank you for it. Buy in their food now while it is plentiful.
    • Get your paracetamol, throat lozengers and cough mixtures in now, when you are feeling ill the last thing you want to do is traipse down to Boots having to get it in.- check dates as I have some from last winter.

    Morning all

I've looked at my winter preparation list and I best get started into it. Today I'm going to -

    • wash windows (I think that is the most hated job of the whole list)
    • order heating oil now while the price is low.
    • clean out car.
I think that is enough for today. I've volunteering at the credit union tonight so I think I have my day sorted.

    Weekly spend - w/c 7th Sept.

    Mon -

    Total - £

    Evening all,

I got the windows cleaned today which is my most hated job as I hate washing of those spider egg sack things _pale_
. I still have to clean out my car but that is a wee job for tomorrow.
