    Oh yes, such a plonker! He went and bought the battery then realised he had to carry this 25kg battery almost two miles home, he got to his old flat which is only a few hundred meters from mine where the car is and decided to have a "rest" aka fall to sleep for four hours until I ring his door bell for a minute straight!! :wall:
    He's now very sheepish and guilty looking as we missed the movie we were meant to see tonight too. Won't bothering worrying about him in future, as he's probably just fallen asleep somewhere!!

    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Soz shouldn't laugh, but glad he's ok:D:D:D:D:D

    Awwww adelight he has sooooooo many brownie points to make up!

    Dad's xray showed exactly as the last one, large amounts of fluid, they are now going to to do ct scan and heart echo scan, if he feels worse or breathing gets worse call ambulance.....sorry but my mum and dad come from the generation where to bother the dr meant paying money, yes they understand the NHS but it is ingrained in their minds that you don't call the Dr! so they will not call the dr whatever! They asked if he had ever worked with asbestos, know where they are coming from as I worked for an asbestos consultant for 3 years and he was called as a expert witness for loads of cases....but we cant think if my dad ever worked in anything like that, he has always been office based.

    Sorry to go off and ramble as above but it helps to see it in type IYKWIM

    Apart from the above, have got another xmas pressie today and am hoping to do some more crafting towards xmas tomorrow. I am ok at doing pressie for my mum, since she had her mastectomy she has only wanted to use Dove stuff, since then I have made up a Dove....hamper......xmas cake.....xmas cracker.... this year I am going to an xmas tree.....struggling to think of something for my dad though

    Adelight you've given me the best laugh I've had all day. Glad you tracked him down eventually.
    Betheebee, I've read that book and you're right, it's terrific.
    Lou, it is so good to hear you sounding so positive, just don't push yourself too hard.
    Mollie, sorry to hear about your son's money going missing. This seems to be happening more often no matter what bank you use.

    I feel quite relaxed tonight, the magazine's finished, printed and distributed, the Christmas tree festival will be over tomorrow and the christmas fair was a resounding success today. Feel that I can almost turn my attention to my chaotic house and the chaotic Christmas looming on the horizon.
    Now I'm just going to clear a bit of the kitchen and have an early night with a mug of hot chocolate, a hottie bottle and a good book.

    Love and hugs to all.

  • Hello Saturday night posters.

    Been at work today and really tired tonight, I have had an abcess in my mouth this past week and I still look as if I have cotton wool stuffed im my cheeks, infact I look similar to a hamster with a peanut in her cheek!!!!! when its gone I will have to brave a visit to the dentist, but at least it isnt as painful now, and Im not taking pain relief every 3-4 hrs just twice a day!!

    Other than that I am feeling positive and nearly ready for Xmas. A friend bought some soup round this afternoon and its really really nice, it was a recipe from the Ade Edmundson program on ITV1 and is called Cheshire Cheese soup and is on itv.com I can recommend it.

    Anyway off to bed as on early shift tomorrow and want to get there a bit early cos its going to be a busy day, so nitey nite.

    Jxx

    PS sending good wishes and hugs to all who need them
