Oh well done Fuddle's OH! Do the fish get thrown back or do you eat them?
Talking about 100's and 1000's, I've been known, when I've run out oif chocolate to raid cupboards looking for something close to, and have eaten the chocolate 100's/1000's out of a trifle packet I got from AF...:o:cool:
I'm also [STRIKE]hoarding[/STRIKE], storing for the The Walking Dead food cupboard and compared to some, probably looks a bit pathetic, but it's just me at home, and I've ordered 3 times from AF in 3 weeks, but I did share the last one with DD.0 -
The sweetie fairy is coming tomorrow on the Asda van. Not sure if I can last.
The rain is unbelievable, coming down like stair rods. Here is my kitchen window view -

Wow, your DH must be pretty darn good at fishing Fuddle.
I shouldn't think any newspaper knows enough to really be able to forecast the weather as far ahead as the whole of summer - time to worry about it if it actually happens.
Sitting here stuffed from tea and thinking about breakfast :rotfl:Made some fruited teacakes today and will have one toasted then filled with a sliced banana tomorrow morning - yum
SDG - well done for getting through your trip. There's no law that says certain calendar dates should stop bothering you after x years - he must have been a lovely dad for you to still keep his memory alive.
Poor SmileytDo you have any liquid/soluble painkillers you could take to see if they absorb quicker?

I have about 100 bags of HM pick n mix left over from the business (had to make lots at once since needed to buy 8 different boxes of sweets from the cash n carry each time). I'd send them to you but I suspect the cost of the courier might be more than the sweets. They're bloomin' heavy! I offered them to school for the summer fete but sadly there isn't going to be one this year as nobody came forward to organise it. My DD has a tooth enamel missing so she isn't allowed sweets and DS wouldn't eat them. I WOULD eat them but I certainly shouldn't! So I'm trying to think where they might be useful. Maybe Brownies?
Well done Mr Fuddle!
And hope you feel better quickly Smileyt. The sweetie fairy is coming tomorrow on the Asda van. Not sure if I can last.

Possession, where do you live? Maybe we could organise an emergency sweetie relay all the way up to Scotland :rotfl:.
Thank you everyone for your get well wishes. I've eaten a couple of oatcakes and so far so good .... I imagine I'll be fine tomorrow as these things rarely last long, do they?
Well done Mr Fuddle, and to SDG3100 for going out when you didn't feel like it - know how hard that can be.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

How about an old folks' home or something similar for the sweeties?"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0

Yes that's a good idea, although I don't have any connection to one. I'll have an ask around.0 -
