They recently had a big backlog but they must have cleared it as my order only took a few days. You will get an email the day before and then on the morning they will email you/text you a 1 hour slot. I got the Dove Flour too, and smoothies and cereal bars for the kids, and Ryvita Fruit Crunch which they absolutely love.

I'm like a kid waiting for Christmas - just placed my first AF order :T Can anyone tell me how long I've got to sort out the Room of Doom where my storecupboard is before it arrives please? For anyone who likes Dove flour they've got wholemeal plain and wholemeal bread flour and gluten free gram flour as well.

Thanks for the info. I've got over 120 individual packs to store
My savings were calculated at £116 by the site but me being a nerd I've worked out roughly what I would have actually spent and my saving is about £70 - still absolutely fab and no danger of starving for quite some time to come as there's only me to use it up :rotfl:

I have to be careful with AF as I am an undercover hoarder.....under cover of the garage mostly. When people post lists of their stash it makes me rather embarrassed as I have way too much to list. This is NOT a good thing. I am working my way through it but should not be adding to it while doing so!

:rotfl: pleased it's not just me then ;) I was mighty impressed with the delivery. The hour slot thing is brilliant.

I dare not do a delivery just yet :o

Possession, I can see I might just head that way. I am determined to not be storing any more than 2 of each food item, 1 of each toiletry/cleaning item. I already have 4 bread flour though. Eeeek

Mardy:- The 100s and 100s!! :rotfl: That's desperation!

Mccolloch:- I love H*ron food stores! Always get stuff from there. Love their Xell range which are the misshapen fish/fishcakes Waitr*se has rejected. Love their cooked meats too. Paid £1.25 for 200gm's of roast beef and turned it into a great Beef in Black Bean Sauce. :D Fab in wraps too. It would be a great asset in 'Barnie', we often have a drive over there on the Stanhope road. We camped a lot round there when girls were small.

Coo what a chatty lot you all are! Had to laugh at the slugs - I get them in the kitchen too.

Slowlyfading, congratulations on your job, what wonderful news!

I have a lurgy. Most bizarrely, my collar bones are aching (!?) and whatever is going in at the top end is exiting the other end in short order. I've been in bed with two hot water bottles and two dogs all day. I'm afraid we will be having only a short 'necessities' walk in a few minutes, no long ambles round the park today. And it's pouring down.

Who said it was going to rain until September - VJsmum? Where did you get that information? I hope it's wrong! Not only will we all be going crazy from lack of sunlight by then, but food prices will be horrendous!

Oh well, best get my wellies on and stagger out with the dogs. Everything aches but there's no point taking any painkillers because they won't be in my tummy long enough to get absorbed. Poor old me, poor old me :rotfl:!

Mar, do you have any jam? Maybe jam on toast could help with the sweetie cravings for now?

I don't really want to think how much i've got, but that way madness lies doesn't it?! Suffice to say, too much, bought because it was very cheap and I would use it eventually, a mindset I need to get myself out of.

    Afternoon all :)

You poor thing smileyt, please take care of yourself and feel better soon x

If it was up to me and if I had the space I would be the same way Possession. I know I have hoarding tendencies and I know how easily I could tip over into having too much.

    Many congratulations Slowlyfading :T

Mardatha I hope the sweetie fairy visits soon.

I made it around town and to B & M and Sainsburys. I got presents for my nephew and sister with my John Lewis voucher and lots of veg off the market. I just had to deal with all the Father's Day stuff in the shops. I did manage to avoid crying, so that's a good thing. You would think that after 26 Father's Days without my Dad it wouldn't affect me so much, but it still does. DH definitely got the short straw when it comes to Father's Day, but I did buy him some cake. DS1 has brought him Pringles for some reason, not quite sure why and DS2 has got him jelly babies.

It looks like DH is going to be home about 7pm, so I had better go and start dinner. I think it is sausage, mash and beans weather today.

    Take care everyone xxxx

Erm - that bastion of true and faithful reporting, the Daily Xpress  - erm allegedly

I guess someone somewhere said that if nothing changes I.e. the jet stream doesn't shift, then this pattern of weather will continue - a couple of nice days in between a lot of wet ones.

Have done one of my chores - seriously cba today. But I went and did my food shop - still all over the kitchen floor though. Am going to stick on my latest Harry Potter cd and put it all away and clean and tidy the kitchen before we go to the pub for tea. I have now got past the scary bit of HP so can put it on without worry (I know, how old am I? :o)

Is Kemps the best place for wool? I've always been happy with it but wondered where else people might use?
I wanna be in the room where it happens

I have a bit of good news :D DH has won £130 in his fishing competition today :j

That's good karma for him giving me that £20 out of his fishing fund for my trolley :D

Oh and he brought me a free white cap that they were giving out. Brill for incognito walking the dog looking 'alf rough in the morning ;)

He's tucking into his warmed up Sunday lunch and we're about to have that Weetabix cake and custard. I'm not convinced it's going to be nice but as long as the kids like it, job well done.

I can quite believe we're going to get mostly rain for the rest of the summer
