PAH, remember it's only my opinion and it's easier when the person is not involved so to speak. I wasn't being critical and understand you must be worried about DIL and grands. Just don't want you being bulldozered into something you don't really want. Hope the dentist visit goes ok.
Just want to say this about ex and his family.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
And...breathe...:D Keep busy Byatt, keep busy...
Greenbee, how scary. There was an eathquake in Italy recently wasn't there? Are you ok?
edit: Kidcat I need to pick your brains please.. next door's little girl, just turned 11, is auty but has also had major surgery recently. I want to get her something as she will be bed bound for some weeks if not months, but I'm out of touch with 11 year olds. I know they are all different, and but some ideas would be handy. I'm not likely to find out if what I get is good for her as mother not so forthcoming, but all the same would like to do something.

I'm fine thanks. It appears that no one was hurt, and there isn't much damage. But still something I'd rather not have experienced!0

Greenbee, sounds very, very scary. Do they expect any more or after shocks?0

The heatwave of 2003 happened because I was in the USA and Canada at the time, we had torrential rain in Canada, arrived back in Ireland on the last day of the heatwave. The rain followed us across...
I keep looking out at the garden and thinking it looks lovely in the sunshine - and almost odd too, I've got that used to seeing it in the rain. I have a little bit of work lined up but surely it's time for a trike ride in the sun!Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -
Just wanted to say hi! to everyone. Not posted but still enjoying reading all your "doings".

Hiya Margo, :wave::wave:
Mccolloch, is your trike a pedal version? I can't ride a bike, and my DD suggested a trike...:D
The sunny day has certainly improved my mood. Need to chat with dr about my vit d, as the difference in me is like night and day. Even Bess lay out in the sunshine.
In a tidying mood, so decided to sort through a drawer with toiletries in etc. For someone who doesn't wear make-upI have an awful lot of mascara and foundation cream! Hasn't seen the light of day in a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGGG time. Should I throw away, does anyone know?

Byatt: if foundation etc is more than a year old, I'd say bin it whether it's used or not. However, some might say it should be OK if it hasn't been opened. I tend to err on the side of caution:D‘Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole.’ David Lynch.

Aw no greenbee. I would have been terrified.
It is nice outside here too. It really does lift your spirits.
Hi mm, so great to see you saying helloJoin in anytime you like
Byat, I would chuck the make up, especially the mascara as it may just have some bacteria in there that has festered and possibly give you an eye infection if you do wear it. Make up has a life of around 12 months - so the manufacturers say and we know that manufacturers want you to buy more and more of their products so it might just be fine but... it's easy to pick up an eye infection.
Anyone tried these BB creams that are out. They cost around a tenner, which is a lot but if it works as the same as a moisturiser, primer and foundation then I would be saving money - only if it lasts as long as my current products though. Reluctant to try. Hate wasting money on fads and hate being swayed by advertisers too.
Yes, stubborn goat here.0 -
Thanks Short-bird and Fuddle, they've been around for longer than 12 months so will throw away, I hate thrwoing stuff away as I'm sure you all do, but better to be safe than sorry.
Fuddle, I think I have a sample of the BB cream (a freebie, I have loads of stuff from freebies), so PM me if you'd be interested in me sending. It's recent too.As in the last week or so.
