No taker here either...there must have been a job lot doing the rounds a few years back. I'm contemplating decorating the bathroom at the moment, and just leaving a three inch margin unpainted around the repair to the woodwork on the ceiling I've been asking to be fixed for three years. And Friday, my next day off *eyeroll* I am taking up the carpet to leave bare boards. Correcting I am taking up the HALF a carpet that remains to leave the bare boards. The 'new' lino has been behind the sofa in the conservatory for three years too.

Mardy, mine was (is) a PP (a ph*c£ing Pisces), but you could send your RV here as he will then appreciate you more and realise how well off he is with you, especially if I live up to the reputation my ex spreads about me.
;)

Small triumph today, went to pain clinic with Oh and decided a short cut up a back road would lead us to the unit ...shed... not only did we find the unit but we also found a disabled car park right next to the unit so no need for wheelchair - :j. Lovely Doc as usual, just got to keep on soldiering on.
Am pinching every penny but it doesnt seem to be working as well as it used to and the cat is definately going on a diet :rotfl: Nipped in Mr M and picked up a veggie pack for 49p so lots of carrot and swede - my new addiction. OH popped in Poundland/world/what ever as it was right next to the car so we seem to have rather a lot of chocolate in the munchy drawer nowClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Aggravating Aquarius
Just as well he's married to a tolerant Taurus:DIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Mardatha - I have a RV too so fully sympathise xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
I'm here - not missing, just loafing ! Weather today has been fabulous, so we spent the day on the farm, sitting about in the sun (sorry Mar
). Ad-hoc lunch and a small quantity of alcohol was taken, followed by cheescake and clotted cream
:o. It is so relaxing just sitting about reading surrounded by cats, chickens and goats.
George Cat has been very brave today and ranged about having small spats with various of the cats, and hunted the chickens up to the point when they flapped their wings at him and he jumped out of his skin! The farm cats know to leave them well alone :rotfl:
One of the cats here is always with us, very affectionate, but she has actually been here for years and we never used to see her - she used to stay indoors by the aga. But it seems that she was very ill several weeks ago, her owners though she was going to die. She spent four days in her bed, not eating, but then just got better and turned into a different cat, lost loads of weight (but vet says she is ok) and out and about and looking for company all the time. How strange is that? Could she have possibly had a stroke and it changed her personality?
They have a huge polytunnel here, Mrs OG and I are very envious. It must have been about 120f in there today. We are trying to work out how to get on perched half way up a windy hill, but I think it would all end in tears - and tears !
Good to see you posting again Fuddle, and glad you are still following Softstuff, I know what you mean about sometimes just not having anything to say! Other times, I can't shut up :rotfl: Hope you start to feel better soon Byatt, may sure you take ALL your medicine !
I've got a Grumpy Gemini here, so sadly no room for the RV Mar - could he squeeze in with the chickens for a bit?
Edit - and GG is married to a Stroppy Scorpio, so home life is sometimes a little err... interesting?Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0 -
Not swapping mine for anyone else's - mine is a caring Capricorn......99% of the time, the other is out and out Capricorn the goat and nothing but nothing will budge him when he digs his heels in. hhmm not sure if it's only 1% of the time either....0
