Ive been given some excellent advice on the motoring forum and will be drafting up a legal letter tomorrow to post by special delivery with all proof we have and stating we want a full refund under the SOGA 1979 and to come and collect the car with our full refund within 7 days. I think I will include copies of everything we have too including the emails from Auto trader proving that he is a trader and a copy of log book etc.
Ive had to postpone my hospital visit till 2 weeks today, so hope and pray that this is sorted by then.
Ive had a good cry and feel a lot calmer now.
Thank you for all the positive comments.

Well done you!!! :T:T0 -
Penny-pincher I'd just go for your money back if I were you, because even if he does the work you will probably end up with an unreliable car and be throwing good money after bad. But I'm glad it sounds like the situation will be sorted out. I'm with kidcat - I'd report him once the cash was back in my bank account too because otherwise he will just continue to fleece other people.Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Glaucoma eyedrops make your eyelashes grow long and lush and black.
They now have a mascara with a (very small bit) of the active ingredient in which my ophthalmologist thinks is outrageous as the stuff does have side effects. One problem is the drops can make your eyelashes grow in odd directions such as straight into your eye. I've been lucky and my eyelashes are just (!) long and thick but not particularly dark so I still have to use mascara. But Oh Boy! do I look vampish with mascaraIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0 -
Didn't refresh my screen before posting so just wanted to say how pleased I am that you seem to have all the evidence PP. It's always horrible when this sort of thing happens at a weekend when you want to be on the phone first thing to get it all sorted with Trading Standards but in a way it might be a good thing as it will give him time to get worried about what you'll do on Monday morningIt doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

Oh PP, I really feel for you. I hope the thieving scumbag comes and gets his car and gives you your money back. Cars are the one area that you need full and total honesty when buying one. I'm not normally one for violence but I'm sure we could arrange an OS flashmob to turn up at his house, we have ways and means of making him cough up the cash (say no more!)
My kenwood chef turned up but was broken in transitThe speed control knob has been smashed and it won't switch on. I don't know if the two are linked, I'm gutted.

Bl00dy hell people on here are good. PP I hope it all gets sorted for you.
I first found this site because we were having problems with our house buying solicitor who went bankrupt and received fantastic advice that meant we did make our sale as we wanted and since then it has never ceased to amaze me what pooled knowledge can do.
Well done allI wanna be in the room where it happens0 -
Mary, what's the name of the mascara?
I've just put vaseline on my lashes...
VJ, yes people are good, I read PP's thread in the motoring section and people there were so helpful. It warms the cockles of your heart.0
