I'm at my DD's tonight, so mousy is all alone! I hope s/he will have been trapped by the time I go home tomorrow, not sure I can cope with another disturbed night of mouse clogging about. It was under my bed and I peered under and it just peered back, wasn't phased at all by this witchy person, hair all over the place...hanging over the side of the bed. Then it started its circuit training. I was so close to catching it in the waste bin, but I faffed around and it was too late. Anyway, if it is trapped then I will release several miles away when I go bunny sitting.0

Sorry, couldn't resist. I was brainwashed by that one by my dear ole Mum when my brain was not yet properly formed. I also think I have a certain group of braincells (perhaps the medulla crapita) dedicated to 1980s pop songs. Tainted Lurvveee.........
As if in mockery of the hosepipe ban, it has tipped it down today and everything is very very wet. Including the Great Flytipping Mountain down by the boilerhouse, for which I give hourly thanks. We don't have a resident arsonist at the moment, insofar as I am aware, and SuperGran says our previous post-holder was sent to a certain suburb across town. I know people who live over there and had heard about this geezer who was always on the street and fully-dressed whenever yet another garden shed mysteriously caught fire in the middle of the night. This pile of carp is nearly taller than I am and I'm no dainty critter.
SG has bearded the Council about it so maybe someone will send a lorry to drag it off to the dump. I love seeing my hard-earned council tax money being wasted......grrr!
Byatt, keep us posted on the Mousie.
OK, time to eat another FB pie, or half of one anyway. I also have broccoli which is good stuff and guarantees that I'll live to be a hundred and eleventy and get good value from my pension. That's the plan, anyway.
Have a good evening, all.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

What have you lot been on today???? :rotfl:I have been giggling away here and enjoying childhood memories .... Skippy, eh?
For some reason whenever 'I saw a mouse ..' was sung on children's tv when I were a nipper, it was always followed by this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IJ5GPB-7lL4
Puff the Magic Dragon. Used to make me cry because he was left all alone in the end ...... oh dear, I'm getting maudlin in my old age! :rotfl:

Ok you lot step away from youtube - you are all seriously nutso today
Smiley - I dont understand how the stars thing works but well done anyway.
Have been back to GP today, but not the one I was expecting, she decided instead of giving me antibiotics she would give me cough medicine instead - no idea what thats all about. Saw the one who DD saw yesterday, who had told me to come back today and promised antibiotics and painkillers, and she looked most confused at the cough medicine thing. Told me to give it the weekend and go back Monday for "proper" stuff!
Mouses - OH dealt with ours with council stuff, didnt kill them as the stuff was never touched, they did however leave home afterwards and havent been seen since! Our council will also come out and deal with mousies for free so may be worth a quick call Byatt.
As for the songs - I have had the song from the advert when I was a kid floating in my head thanks to you lot - the one that has a "moose loose aboot this hoose"
Meal plans have fallen today - OH dropped gammon steaks on floor so binned them!!! Am saying nothing.
Will need to shop tomorrow but am planning on going armed with meal plans for next five days and sticking to list.
Just noticed there is a Lidl voucher in Daily Star and Daily Express tomorrow for £5 off £30, so will pick up a couple of papers and head there on Saturday to stock up, if I buy all the pet food for a few months again which I did last time, it really saves me time and money.0 -
Kidcat, don't forget the bean's are on the weekend deal at Lidl, 4 pk at £1.£71.93/ £180.000
