Well, just as I was sinking about all sorts of piffle, I come on here and read about the little mouse with clogs on. That has made my day. (It won't make anybody else's because I can't stop singing it now)

Thanks Jamanda! Now I've got that stuck in my head too - mind you at least the kids are too small to be scathing about my musical tastes yet!
Speaking of which - must go and referee, DD has decided DS is not eating his snack quick enough and therefore needs some 'help' with it! We're going to have hair pulling if she continues - DS doesn't like anyone messing with his food let alone eating it for him.0 -
I sooo did not want that song on the brain:shhh:It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

:D:D Reality's a lot grubbier and sweatier, isn't it?!
My fantasy self has a trug of flowers and a long frock and wanders around etherially, too. My real self wears clumpy boots, has earth under her fingernails and a sore back and is squinting balefully out the window muttering about this rain which is supposed to be blowing over.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I can identify with this! I notice that my organically grown veg always looks very ugly - nothing like the beauties on the front of the seed packets (tastes nice tho'):heartpuls The best things in life aren't things :heartpuls

It's official, wedding are bad for your health! I always knew that I hated them for a reason.
I was at a wedding on Saturday and on waking on Sunday found that my trapped nerve in my neck is much worse. Just turning my head from side to side to talk to people (long straight tables, not round ones) has well and truly nipped it. So it's back to arm, shoulder and neck pain, thanks to my 'irritable' nerve. Lots more neck traction, God knows what it's doing to my crumbly vertebrae!
Was really cheered up by Byatt's mouse post and yes I remember the 'Mouse in the stair song' Was there a puppet mouse called TOPO GIGIO some times in the 60's?Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -
