Hi folks,
Just a quick one because I'm about to run out of battery.Stillstruggling wrote: »preparedathome - I would love to take a look at your blog how do i find it please
Welcome aboard Stillstruggling. People aren't allowed to publicize their own blogs. However, if you think someone might have an interesting blog, find a post by them, then click on their name (in blue at the left hand side of the post) and you will get a selection of options including "take me to preparedathome's homepage" (always assuming they had a home page;)) which you click on. Hope that makes sense.
Keeping things crossed for you and your OH fuddle
And GreyQueen I am so chuffed for you with your new toy: enjoy it.
Oops last warning for battery, I'm out of here!0 -
GreyQueen - congratulations :T and how fab that it came early as a surprise. Shame you baked all that bread the other day - perhaps SG could help you out with that."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0

Liquorice toffees. And Sainsbugs coming at 2 with pink shrimps.
oh I love pink shrimps :T I like the bananas and I love the MrT bag of value banana, strawberry and orange sweeties. But shrimps are still the bestest
GQ well done on your new household member :T:T
Good luck to everyone going for and interview and to all the Mothers out there if we could live on guilt we wouldn't need whoopsies and I would be the size of a barn door :rotfl::rotfl:
We had snow this morning but then the yellow ball came out so I raced out and gave the cat pen another couple of coats of stain. Then it rainedI checked the weather map thingy and it definitely said we were not having rain .......... fibbers. Only the electrics to be done now and a good clean and we are ready for the off. DH has got to fit the porch first so I don't know how long it will be as I am hoping to have a foster fur baby by Christmas.
Must get some Christmas things sorted for the boys. I think we have "stuff" in the loft that has been collected all year but the boys have only got their main gift so I need some bits and bobs and DD and SIL and........oh my I am starting to panic.
I rent my house out (moved in with now DH) and have B Gas cover for the boiler etc and they sent a renewal for £100 more per year :eek::eek::eek: I must admit it has sat there staring me in the face for a couple of days so today I plucked up the courage to ring them (it can take hours to haggle) Long story short I hung in there to the bitter end and ended up with it cheaper than last year :T:T:T. I know a lot of people would say save the money etc but I like having the tenants deal with them direct for my peace of mind.
another cat story warning sorry
One of the kittens kept on losing his collars. I have lost count how many he has had. His last one was a black little number with white fishes and very tasteful. little s*d went and lost it in less than an hour of having it on. Enough is enough of this malarky so I bought some hideous, bright pink, moon and star collars from the CS for 50p each and instead of getting DH to engrave another tag I wrote my mobile number on his collar with permanent marker :rotfl::rotfl: So the little booger has been wearing this for a couple of days and when I let him out this morning he came back with his black and white collar with his lovely silver tag on :rotfl::rotfl: He sat there on the mat with the collar at his feet :rotfl::rotfl: I think the other cats must have been picking on him about his fashion sense :rotfl::rotfl:
I have not watched the news today as I am fed up with the advent calendar of Euro doom and I much prefer my advent to be filled with chocolate.
I may treat myself to a couple of hours book reading tonight as I havn't had chance for a few days.

I have rarely been to Tescos in the last few years. I dont like it and find the whole experience a nightmare. However, twice recently I have had little choice but to go there. Jesus, how expensive is it?!??!! More than Waitrose in certain things. I wanted a mozzerella and in Lidl it is 48p.
I hate to be seen standing up for Tesco, but I buy their value mozzarella at 44p for 125g and it's fine. They seem to have a big selection with a lot of variation in pricing... http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=mozzarella
though I am still reeling in shock from the 23p increase in the yogurts I buy DH, that's 23p up in a WEEK! I didn't buy them this week of course...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
