Meme I will admit here I am a Spiritual ( hate that word I prefer Universal Energy) healer and have seen spirit all my life - mum when I was three told dr I could not sleep as she was fed up me staying awake all night talking to spirit and she got him to put me on barbiturates, which did stop me seeing them for a few years. Once I knew this house was haunted I dealt with it as over the year have done a few rescues - helping spirits to the light. Out of curiosity I have tried my hand at most things spiritual just to see if I could do them, even tarot card reading, but healing is the thing I am most drawn to, even trained in Reiki just to see what the difference was between it and Universal Energy Healing which I was born being able to do. I have seen into past - hubby was given the proof I had a gift by me being able to describe the house he grew up in, as I could see it as if I was there, we even had an argument where the coal scuttle had been in living room, till he asked his mum and I was right, I never went to that house or have even seen any photos as none seem to have been taken in it. I did see the future sometimes but apart from a couple of people whom I tell I keep quiet about what I see. I only tell those friends for them to keep note and then I wait and see if it does happen, I never believe anything until I get the proof. I did even train as a medium at spiritualist church but again not me, healing is.
I do not send actual healing to anyone without asking, so when I say on here am sending healing thoughts that is all it is me just asking for healing to be sent same as anyone else would do, I would never presume to do anything different. I never charge just couldn't do that, although when I was well enough to go out and give healing I would accept expenses but I would only charge exactly what it cost me for return journey, to me its not something to make money from.Need to get back to getting finances under control now kin kid at uni as savings are zilch

PAH I'm the opposite. I love doing medium & psychic stuff and I've been a Tarot reader since I was in my teens. I never felt drawn to healing - I sense when a person is down and I try and cheer them up, but that's as close to healing that I go. Apart from my wee cat LOL I give him healing all the time cos he's getting on a bit now and he's an outdoor cat.0

PS - this isnt really so far OT, as in the old days people were really into spiritualism etc0

KIDCAT...hope your daughter makes a swift recovery. (((Hugs))) Kate.
MEME30 - My DD seems to be responding to medication, she's been much brighter the last few days. Almost back to normal, just worrying a bit how she's going to cope with going back to uni and finishing off after Easter, but hopefully if she keeps on the meds. she'll get through that short final period. She's been referred to the counselling services locally too but they have a long waiting list!

Good Morning everyone
kidcat My DS1 had meningitus at 6 weeks old and I know just how terrifying it is to hear that word. He is now 16 years old, 5 foot 9 and has no problems due to it at all. Like with your DD it was caught early and it does make a difference. One thing to say is that if the family has to be treated, be prepared for funny coloured poop as it is a side effect of the meds. Here's hoping for a swift and speedy recovery
PAH My DBIL is training to be a Reiki healer and seems to have a talent for it. It doesn't really work for me, but I know it does for my DMIL for one.
katieowl I'm glad that your daughter is feeling better
Well life continues much as normal here. I'm sick of video games already and it's only day 4.
DS2 is trying to eat us out of house and home, I have no idea where he puts it all. I think teenage boys have a small black hole in their stomachs which then closes as they get older and it spits everything back out when middle age hits if DH is anything to go by.
I did have a fight with DH last night. We are going to visit his family over Easter and are staying in a caravan on a friend's driveway. With the weather changing so dramatically I'm worried about how cold it is going to be and really not looking forward to it. I'll be packing my flannel pjs and hot water bottles.
Time to put the washing machine and to work out what to feed the ravenous hoard today.
Take care everyone xxxx0 -
Kidcat, I hope your DD is feeling better today, and hope you and your family have been able to rest a little. Thinking of you. Take care.
Pah, your post reminded me that my mother was a healer too. I prefer your wording, universal energy.
All your stories and posts are so interesting.0 -
Kidcat: Hope your daughter is feeling better. Good that you noticed it early.
I'd love to be able to do healing, or anything psychic, but I can only offer empathy. And I offer that in spades to anyone on here needing hugs or just to bend an ear. We all seem to have bent ears on this Forum and never begrudge it.Normal people worry me.0 -
Sending big hugs your way Kidcat - hope your daughter is ok soon.
Had a lovely weekend up in the lakes - took the kids to the South Lakes Wild Animal Park an DD had a wonderful time - it was lovely to hear her saying lots of new words and in front of grandparents (not just quietly in Mummy's ear) She used her walker loads and was absolutely zonked by the end of the day. Was so exciting feeding the d'jafs (giraffes a la DD!) Got annual passes so we can go back as often as we want for £1.50 each a time.Think we'll leave DS at home with grandparents next time though as he was not impressed with it - well nothing had a motor did it? and he is such a boy for his diggers and tractors already - think his first birthday pressies might all end up being toy vehicles!0 -
Stiltwalker, I love South Lakes animal park, what an amazing place. We also went to John Aspinals zoo down south which was my first taste of the new type of zoo where the focus is on the animals.
All quiet here, OH resting a lot just doing a bit of cricket paperwork to keep his mind occupied other than that he is coming to terms with the loss of almost all his independance and the fact that we can no longer go far.
I am taking myself for new glasses today, hoping that will be the end of the headaches which have been plaguing me for a couple of months. I never have headaches just occasional migraines which have petered out of late as the menopause seems to be reaching its end.
My pennypinching doesn't seem to be achieving much lately, few whoopsies and a loss of momentum but my seeds are all popping up so maybe I can kick start my mojo now.
Hugs to kidcat, thinking of you and your little one and anyone else in need xxClearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
