I'm sitting here aching from laughing so much. Can I recommend watching Sarah Millican's show from last night on iplayer. Last night's was about food and the bit about whoopsie shopping is hilarious. She was talking about her friend being an even bigger whoopsie shopper than she is and making thai green curry with sausages.
Is it really bad that I'm wondering how that would taste? I've made tomato based curry with sausages before.

stiltwalker wrote: »Sounds like a good plan, how about putting the example cards onto the top of an A4 card then putting the materials used to make them on the bottom half IYSWIM? Then people can see what you have used to make the card. Another idea would be to make several different cards from the same simple collection of bits then people can see that they don't just have to follow 1 pattern. Many years ago I ran the hard crafts section of a larger craft shop and was amazed at the number of people who came in and wanted to buy the materials to make exactly one of the sample cards the above were a couple of ideas I used to use to encourage creativity. Never did a workshop for 50 though, that's a huge number particularly in only half an hour. That might turn into more of a demo, have you got some help? Even a body who knows how to cut straight would be useful just to wander round and answer any simple questions. Good luck X
Thanks stiltwalker - I had already thought of putting each display card in a plastic wallet (those thin things which you can put in ring binders) with instructions on how to make each one, but your idea of using the same bits to make different cards is brilliant! I shall have to get my thinking cap on. Maybe a father's day card made with a cut out star and button, changed into a baby card with 'Twinkle twinkle little star' on it? Backing paper could be sanded/distressed for Dad but left alone for baby. Hmmmm .... wanders off with head full of ideas .....
SDG31000 even if I ate meat I don't think thai green curry with sausages would appeal .... you might regret it! :rotfl: Why not have bangers and mash instead?
Quiet in here tonight. Is the rugby on or something?Aspire not to have more but to be more.

Thanks MG! I will tell OH and then hopefully he will stop moaning about the SC making things taste funny (my dad says the same about the MW if he sees stuff cooked in it!) and we can avoid adding green pepper skins!
I kind of agree with you; I always finish off in the oven. Adjust seasoning and so on, thicken, throw in a few things that will cook quickly and brown the meat that way. Straight from the SC...no!0 -
I watched some of Sports Relief, but I watched all of John Bishops programme the night before. What a fantastic achievement! Even dead on his feet he was politely thanking people, seems a nice bloke. Amazing amount of money earned! :j
Well, I am off to see DH's sisters today, (6 of them) We try to get together every month. We take turns whose house it is/feeding everyone. We have had a few poorly weeks for some so it will be great just to have a laugh and catch up.
Tomorrow I am going to make some meatloaves. If I make three big ones, I can cut them in half and end up with six meals for DH and I. I only make them in the summer, I don't know why?. I might cook up a big batch of Tomato and basil sauce to go with it. The other sauce I like with it is a creamy Mushroom one which has to be made fresh because it splits when frozen.
I think the last few days of sunshine and real heat in the sun have perked up my summer spirits! We have been eating more salads again and I am not thinking so much of dumplings and casseroles!
I am even considering getting my legs out! During the winter my legs live in trousers and I have to reveal the milk bottles sometime soon!
I am going to a wedding in April and am wearing a skirt. I loathe and detest tights so I am going bare legged as usual. I don't think I have time to get a tan on them so the fake tan will have to come out!
Oh, that reminds me of my worst ever fall! After a lovely night out in a posh hotel at a friends wedding, I, 6' 2" and wearing four inch heels fell down a large sweeping staircase! Elegant skirt lifted and revealed full stocking and suspender set! My future DH ran down stairs and covered me up, but our future Best Man saw more than I cared for him to see!Give us the strength to encounter that which is to come, that we may be brave in peril, constant in tribulation, temparate in wrath, and in all changes of fortune, and down to the gates of death, loyal and loving to one another.”0 -
I watched some of Sport Relief last night, but some of those film clips of babies dying and their poor grief stricken parents were so hard to watch, and all for want of a simple mosquito net or a simple jab we take for granted here.
Simply dreadful.....:(0 -
Helllloooooo -is anybody there? Its like the Marie celeste in here.

I think everyone's out in the garden kidcat - I only popped in for a cold drink and a quick browse as I was getting too hot
