Is there room on the sofa for an English "girl"? Bunch up a bit. That's better. :rotfl:
I don't have beer but have a bottle of Irish whisky and plenty of cans of coke. :T0 -
Who's going to start the singing?:DThink big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Greenbee & Kidcat - I guess by now you have tried all makes of lozenge, but a few opera singers I know swear by Vocalzones, which I think are available from most pharmacies, but they may be hidden in drawers & not on display. They use them a lot for lubrication when they are resting their voices between performances, rather than treating voice loss, but it may be worth a try? Hope you are both getting better. Didn't realise your job consisted of so much talking Greenbee - what a challenge.
Mrs C - thanks for the link - I did try & search but you are obviously far better at it than me!Have made a momentous decision this week, that I am going to look into teacher training. It will mean me starting a course probably at same time and place as DD17 but I think if I am ever going to have any type of career I need to be making some sort of move now before its too late.
I dont feel my goal is necessarily to enter a school to teach but I would like to look into maybe a nursery setting with a strong emphasis on special needs and include after school provision for special needs children which is something that is completely missing in this area. I now need to look into the practicalities of the training and decide whether I can squeeze the requisite hours into my day.
Wow - that is a huge decision. Best of British & all that with everything else you have going on. There is also a lack of after school care in my area too, unless the children are already in a specialised unit rather than mainstream school, so I think you could be onto a winner here.Don't cats have to be hungry in order to be interested in catching mice?
Nope. My feline visitor Six dinner Sid quite often brings back mice that he has caught & deposits them at the back door. Swine doesn't even eat them (probably as he is too full :rotfl:) just leaves them there for me to stand on!
Hester - good comment about marriage! Glad that shut her up
Mardatha - thought provoking quote from the US & I too counted my blessings after reading that. My life is a bit pants sometimes, but nothing on that scale.LavenderBees wrote: »Is there room on the sofa for an English "girl"? Bunch up a bit. That's better. :rotfl:

Always room if you don't mind digging out the lego bits that I never see until it is too late!
Gutted for Scotland - they have played so well in places this championship. But hopefully the next match will be better....
PIC - can't wait for pics of Womble! And I find that looking back at you gives a better view, a better view...0 -
Not posted for a while as really busy but have been reading as regularly as I can.
Just popped in to say has anyone heard from GreyQueen recently? I don't think she has posted for a while. I do hope she's OK and not struggling with her new broadband connection.
Love and hugs to all in need.0 -

She's probably enjoying good weather and at the lottie, or has been turned to the dark side - i-player as she has no TVGC Mar 13 £47.36/£1500 -
Dunno about watching Rugbi, but it sure made for a quiet day at work
Only a few people about, most of them the CADW bunch looking at the abbey. So mainly played re-arranging the stock AKA making a silk purse out of a sows ear.
Feel like I've been boned and filleted today...and not in a good way! I've reached the age of unpredictable 'cycles' and having not had one since before xmas...my mooncup runneth over  (sorry if that's TMI)
